I challenge anyone to make it through the first 12 minutes of that song without falling in love. I'm serious. It's melodic, it's heavy, it's powerful, it's emotional, has a story, and the skill on tap here is epic. After the 11 minute mark it gets really quiet and gentle, it's the last song on an album. But seriously, 19 minutes of win.

lady gaga is a genius i don't hear it as well but she know what she's doing and it's really not grabage...

people should understand the difference between "garbage" and "i don't like this or that because i like how music was made in the past"

and you talk about 30-40 years of music it should be clear that there is more music you like from 4 decades than only 90s and 2000s.

but like you said you shouldn't search for good music it's really not hard. there are enough sites with guys like you talking about bands from nowadays.

that's sick we have the internet that's the medium which changed a lot but now you can find so easy what you like.

but it's simple if you don't wish to search for yourself to get new stuff you like, then you can't really love music. if you just want to switch to mtv and like what there is then it's your problem.

Ah Dream Theater, I can listen to them anytime. They have such great stuff.

i really dislike when people say this and generalize, there is good music, but its not mainstream, i say you don't bother yourself to look.

Considering there are far better songs made in the past I just don't really bother after being exposed to so much current shit.  I believe it has been pop music that has led me to this thinking.  Pop music used to not bother me so much back while I was growing up in the 80s/90s (considering I didn't even hear or listen to most of it) but now after being forced to listen to some of it at previous jobs it makes my head want to explode.  Also, the entire auto-tune phase is very annoying.

That's just pure opinion. I know tons of people who will disagree with you, myself included. While I don't think any era of music is significantly better than the other, I happen to enjoy alot of the music played now a days. For example, LMFAO's Party Rock and Sexy and I know it. Pretty mainstream songs, kinda shallow in content/lyrics, but to me, it's pretty good. I listen to these songs and I just jam. I don't care how mainstream it is or underground or all the bullshit people tend to label music now a days. Dubstep for the most part, I don't like it, but I heard a few songs from which are actually pretty cool and I'm not ashamed to say "Yeah, I listen to a bit of dubstep." Don't generalize all of today's music as garbage. There's a lot of good bands still playing quality music, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park (flame shield on), RHCP and so on. Too many people get stuck on the oldies and newer stuff, like it's impossible to like both. I simply don't understand it

I will agreed with you that it's become to easy to become an artist. It's like you said, it's all about the image first, talent second.

For the record, I grew up listening to black sabbath, deep purple, a little bit of pink floyd and the likes cause my dad was a hardcore rock fan and still is. I like some of their work but I don't consider myself a fan, other than liking a few of their songs.

Everyday I'm hustlin'.

Subjective opinion is ok, but subjective. You should rephrase it to "Why does most music I've listened to that was made after ~2000 suck?"

There. That's a concrete statement, not open to interpretations.

Are you willing to listen to music in other languages? Even languages you can't speak? Because if you aren't, then that would be a shame and a waste. Sooo much good music out there in many languages, you would be limiting yourself to the stuff you've stopped liking.

I blame all those god damn reality singing crappy shows.

All we get in the charts now is amazing origional songs been butchered by some lousy cover version thats sang by some talentless group or solo reality *cough* artist

There are a few songs today that I like, but most of what I like is from the 90's.

Double post.
