Before you decide wait until the vita is out worldwide. If the vita sales in US & europe as low as in japan you should really not buy the Vita because it will get no games in the future.

The future of the 3DS is safe, consider the fact that is it selling really great.

if you dont want any games for either one why get one? yous hsould wait until something you want to play releases for one of the systems and then you'll want to buy it.

or you can buy one now and when the games you want release on another system complain.

UPDATE: oh well with that kind of money i'd get both 3ds and vita but i guess thats just me.

Normally I would say Vita, but you can never have too many women and helicopters.

I can safely say that the iPad is the best handheld gaming device of all time! It even has Mole Kart.

Since I am a Nintendo fan I am going to recommend the Pita.

I'd go 3DS. Great variety of games, good lineup on the way and for half the price.

the best to do is to watch trailers for the best games for both systems at the moment and see which appeals to you, if any, or wait for more games to be released and decide which appeal to you the most
