Forums - Gaming Discussion - Best game of each genre?

Here's something to keep your mind off the numbers. Just say which game(this gen) you liked best from each genre. I will list my opinion for you.

FPS: Call of Duty 4 - easily one of the best games this generations. Even today I can play it and still not get bored. Too bad the seuqels couldn't maintain the same level of quality.

Runners up:

Halo Anniversary, Cod MW2, Halo 3, Killzone 2

Action adventure: God of War 3 - I was a bit dissapointed when I heard there was no MP. But as soon as I started to play it that didn't matter to me. Comes in my top 5 games of all time.

Runners up:

God of War collection, Batman Arham city, AC II

RPG: Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story - one of the only RPG's I could actually enjoy (haven't played Skyrim yet)

Runners up:

Final Fantasy 13

Platformer: New Super Mario bros - had a lot of fun with this game.

Runners up:

Super Mario 64, Little Big Planet, Little Big Planet 2

Racing: GT5 - the best racing game of all time no racing game this gen can come close (unless it's GT6).

Runners up:

NFS Hot pursuit, Burnout Revenge

TPS: Uncharted 3-not just the best TPS... the best game of all time (and yes Uncharted is a TPS)

Runners up:

GTA 4 (second best game this gen),  Gears of War 3, Uncharted 2
