Thanks alot for the helpful input everyone, im not to sure if I will get it since I can only think of a few exclusives that I do like and it would be a waste of money if I purchased it and forgot about it. I was never a fan of most Nintendo exclusives other than mario kart and smash bros but I would rather play gears than those games. Gf is interested in those dance/party/yoga games that Kinect/Wii have (her little brother has a wii), so it was more of a compromise sort of. As for online I guess I should try it on a friends system and see if its worth the purchase + sub price.

I am happy with my current system and already have quite the backlog of games, guess I just got caught up in all this consumerism!

I would just stick to the ps3. 360 has a few good games, the online is slightly better (service only), but u just dont need it. If u really want it then go for it. I dont like kinect cause it has absolutely no hardcore titles, but if u like it then again, go for it. I wouldnt waste my money like that, they are pretty similiar

Fable 3 was average at best, plus it is better on PC where you can run it in Eyefinity anyway. (5760x1080+ resolution!)

I'm still on my first revision Xbox 360 with about 80 odd games, if you have a PS3 or a decent PC I wouldn't bother because other than Fable 2, Halo 3, Reach, Wars, ODST, Anniversary, Gears of War 2 and 3... The rest are pretty much on PC or the PS3 anyway (The ones worth playing that is IMHO).

i posted the link to your thread on Seece wall so he could answer any question you may have about kinect. i'm not 100% he'll respond with me posting it but he's the best person to ask regardless of my personal opinion.

i'd say move nor kinect are better then the other cause they both serve the same basic functions. i've been reading more about both the PSEye which is the camera that tracks the move controller's colored ball and kinect, and while they feature some of the same features there are things both have that the other doesn't. but kinect is the most advanced out of the 2.

Moves full potential has yet to be seen. if your not going to get GEARS, Alan Wake or any Halo title then there is no reason i see for getting a 360. i like PSN and Xbox live and can't say one is better then the other but i favor PSN cause it's free. not sure what genres you like but it would be helpful if you'd post them in the op.

360 is the best one by far.
the thing is, games on 360 are better then the PS3 equivalent almost every time.
COD on PS3? i never seen so many bad players
BF3 on PS3? same deal
gears is good
forza is good for race fans
skyrim on 360 is great
basically any game on 360 and PS3, get it on 360.. i knows is weird but it seems that they make a crappy port to PS3.

And a lot more older ones, that are worth it and nobody seems to care...

I updated the op to include the general types of games that I am interested in. I would play Gear of War 1-3 and Alan Wake but outside of those barring Kinect games like sports, and the exercise one I have no interest to play them.

For me its about the multi-platform games performing better, a better online experience, and having an aspect to the system that my gf can enjoy (not that watching me play uncharted 2 wasnt fun :P).

I dont want to waste money and regret my decision because I am still a student after all.

Anyways by now I probably sound like a madman so ill give it a rest as my eyelids are slowly closing (4am over here)

Yes, get a 360 and all the Halo games, including Halo Wars. Halo is great and not just for multiplayer. Don't listen to the haters, Halo is pure gameplay awesomeness. After that get yourself Forza 4, Alan Wake, Left for Dead 1 & 2, the Fable games, Mass Effect 1 & 2 ( ME1 is so much better than a motion comic), and Splinter Cell Conviction.

If you can afford it there's no reason NOT to have all the consoles and play the best on each. The fanboys wars are stupid, it's all about the games and you cant' play all the best games of the generation if you don't get the machines to play them on.

Damn I can't wait for Halo 4. Oh and I really looking forward to importing my save from ME1&2 into ME3.

Yeah its beginning to be a problem since I couldnt find anyone online for madden last week. Just seems there are alot more people online on the 360 on more games, with a more active community....figure it would be the other way around since it is free lol. I do plan on getting skyrim and that bug that currently exists for some people with save files is terrible and I hope the new patch will fix it. I do ultimately prefer my ps3 though because of the exclusives.
