For some reason I don't really enjoy the sony style nintendo competitors, and personally rather see Sony resources going to better use in creating rich IPs like Uncharted and Infamous.

This is gonna suck and sell horrible and I'll tell you why:

1) No recognizable character worldwide. Kratos is not that famous in EU/Japan, Drake not famous in Japan, and everything else not famous anywhere
2) Developer is unknown. Remember when Sony gave 3 of its biggest mascots to the horrible Nihilistic Software and they made one of the worst games of all time? They then rewarded them by having them make Resistance Vita which so far looks pretty fucking bad? Yeah, expect more of the same. MNR was supposed to be Mario Kart like but it sucked and the load times actually put me to sleep. Nothing Mario Kart about that.

Well well I don't think it'll be much of a ripoff (at least in terms of the art style)

Nintendo's Smash Bro characters (like the likes of Mario, Pokemon, Kid, Samus, Pikmin and whatnot) look more lighthearted, while Sony's games (thus far) related to more (how should I put it) "realistic" depictions?

UNLESS Sony decides to ripoff the xx% thingy Nintendo always uses as the HP bar or something, alarm bells will start to go off.

But if Sony chooses to go the conventional way of using bars as HP indicators, well it wouldn't be so special and novel anymore. Hope they break some new ground with this aspect.

Might be a ripoff after all, but don't rip too much off, it'll become too obvious for everyone to see.
