easily BF3, its the only decent shooter to come out this year.
but GOTY is easily skyrim, which is pretty much the only good game to come out this year =

For singleplayer I would have to say Gears 3

For multiplayer it's got to be Battlefield 3

Overall. Gears 3 just wins out for me.

Resistance 3's campaign seemed most interesting to me out of the fall shooters and is the only one I bought. It was great fun, back to the old days, and reminded me of the great campaign structure of HL2.
Killzone 3 looked great, Dead space 2 was good, but Resistance 3's campaign beats them both for pure fun.

if i am to judge this award by single player i have to say, Resistance 3 , it surprised me, because i thought R2 was lame

not saying other games are bad, it just this one has surprised me on how much i liked it.
and yes before someone tells me, i play Battlefield on PC in max settings, but it's single player is very uninteresting to say the least.
