I own a wii so it's ok for me to say that :)

Be careful, I was banned for 40 days for saying the exact same thing.

that was probably back when wii was dominating every week, back then saying any wii game wasn't good would get you banned

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

First things first I don't hate the Wii, but I definitely don't like it much. And I have one (my parents do anyways) so I've played it more than enough to form an opinion.

1. I have been Playstation all the way since I started playing video games in the late 90's...so that means I have no nostalgic attachment to Nintendo or any of its series like Mario, Zelda, etc. So that means I can actually be objective and not just rate every game with Mario or Zelda in the title as a 10/10.

2. It has brutal online

3. It lacks good games, and by that I really just mean 3rd party games.

4. I'm not big on motion controls. They're sorta fun for like tennis/golf games when you have a bunch of friends over, but when I play video games I just want to sit on my couch and not move for a couple hours...I don't want a workout. I don't need to work out since I'm a gun owner.

5. I will admit I do kinda hate it for its success. I mean its hardly that much more powerful than the Gamecube, it just sold well because of motion controls and low price point. I feel like Nintendo just got lucky so I am a bit sour about that. But this point is more the 2007-08 version of me talking...the 2011 version of me isn't a fanboy anymore.

Reasons why I dislike Wii:

Overpriced (well it was a year ago)
Severely underpowered
Limited controls
Lack of good 3rd party games
Lack of software features (online, movie player etc.)
Same old franchises that have barely changed or innovated

Reasons why I dislike Nintendo:

All of their products have stupidly high profit margins
Marketing their products towards families, casual gamers and people who don't know any better
Alienating hardcore gamers
Franchise milking

...Yet I still want to buy a Wii, mainly for the Gamecube backwards compatibility but also for the Wii games.

Your post here basically sums up all my thoughts almost exactly.

A better question would be:
"If you don't like it, why can't you simply ignore it?"

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

it makes me sweaty.. and I don't like that...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I don't hate the Wii, but right now I hate Nintendo of America.

i like the wii and most the games. if i want to play HD games i use my pc which gets much better graphics then the ps360. to be fair i think we ought to put up a why do you hate the ps3 and why do you hate the 360 threads as well. as others said the online is pretty bad but i play on my pc if i want excellent online. there are lots of reasons to like wii and lots of reasons not to like wii same with the other two consoles.

dick cheney loves me, he wants to take me hunting

mkwii code- 1977-0565-0049

Because their crap motion controls and shovelware almost killed the PlayStation Brand and made Microsoft shift focus to casual garbage.

Which reminds me, Sony did a REMARKABLE job getting the PS3 to recover.

The ban was by Maxwell.

So yeah, no surprise there.

This is true. If I was a Wii fanboy or enthusiast, I wouldn't mind people not liking it but I would lose my temper if people keep hammering on about it.
