Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Question about Xbox Live Auto-renewal.

So I just got a notification from MS that my Xbox live is due for an auto-renewal next month. I got Xbox live subscription last year for 40% off for £23.99.

Now my question is that does xbox live renew  the subscription at the then discounted price, or does it renew for the full price of £39.99? Because if its full price, I can get a 14 month off ebay for about £30, otherwise I would just stick with the auto-renewal forever lol.

Has anyone else done this auto-renewal before? Its confusing because it says in the Xbox website that auto renewal is for Xbox live at 40% off but in the email it says its a renewal for £39.99.

I'm almost 100% sure it's at full price. I think there are a couple of different ways to go about cancelling the auto renew. One that I've heard (never tried) is to just use a code from an Xbox Live subscription card. You can also ring them and tell them to cancel it. I don't know if there are any other ways to cancel but I'm sure someone will chime in with more/better info.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

I can cancel it, you just have to log into xbox's website and turn it off from there, its easy. But I was hoping that I could keep it at the offer price, oh well I guess it was too good to be true lol. Thanks for the info though.

unfortunately it will renew at the full MSRP price, unless you turn off the auto renewal which they finally allow you to turn off from xbox.com again, or if you add a new card from a retailer prior to the expiration.

Yeah lady told me that after I trolled her and told her that I saw XBL cheaper elsewhere, got me 12 months for £23 I think.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Yeah, the last time I wanted to turn it off, which was a while ago, they didn't make it that simple. It's obviously better that way.
