Forums - Gaming Discussion - Skyrim I love Thee. :)

Wow. So I'm about 33 hours into Skyrim. And I  can only think about 1 thing. More Skyrim.

Its truly a testamont to just how amazing TES series has become. To the point, I firmly beieve Bethesda could make a never ending game and I'd play it forever. t first some of the changes feel dumbe down. But after some time make perfect sense.

Take the old system of using a mace and leveling up just maces. Or using swords and leveling only that. in theory it sounds cool, but actually makes no real sense.

Instead what hapens now is whether you use sword or mace it goes collectivey towards one handed perk. However within that perk constellation is some choices. You can ten spend perk points on either improvingyour mace use or sword use and so on. Although on the face of it, it seems dumbed down. Once you realise spending your perk points actually matters you have to make choices.

And this is what th changes have done. Previously you played a certain way fom the beginning of previous TES titles. although  choices did exist, it also provided limitations. SKyrim has opened the game up to you. Regardless of the race you choose. You get a greater sense of freedom. It isnt smart either to try an open  it all straight away as well. Because if you dont have a few specific perks you good in together combat wise, you will get slaughtered.

truly Skyrim is beautiful and runs really well on my 360. Am I happy.

Just a bit.

Move over Alan Wake. Skyrim is my NEW game of the generation.

Now back to Whiterun. )

I'm trading Uncharted 3 and Deus Ex (deus ex is so so poor) for Halo CE and Skyrim tomorrow... Sounds like I'm in for a treat.

You definitely are!....just a heads up, Skyrim and 'life' don´t get along too well :P

I''l buy Deus Ex for 20 bux!!

It's a good game, but I don't think it should win GOTY. The primary storyline was really weak, not to mention the "ending." I know this isn't the main focus of TES games, but when everything else is so polished, it's easier for flaws to stand out. Am I alone here?

Also, screw dungeons.  Still way too many of em (not trolling).

I am so glad that o smany are praising it. I just came home from work, been longing for Skyrim the whole day.

Isn´t it about time you changed your sig?

This right here.  I'm only a few hours into it and it's what I find I'm spending most of my time thinking about

i love this game, i love it so much that i hate it for making every other game looks like a piece of shit.
i've bought it along with the following games
Uncharted 3 , Golden Eye , Ace Combat , Dark Souls , Ratchet And Clank , Gears Of War 3, Sonic Generations, Ico and Shadow of the colossus collection (Ala my favorite two games of all time) , MGS collection , Forza 4...

and i played only skyrim ... ONLY skyrim, some of the others i just installed and updated and then left alone, don't want to be bothered with.

arghh and i still dont have the game(prays that i will get it tomorow).

atleast its given me time to look at gameplay and decide what i shall specialize in for my first playthrough.

i dont even know what race im going to be, im tending to orc but i want to use magic, and i want to have a sword and heavy armor and magic and i want to be able to smith amazing armor and enchant it at the same time, but thats to many schools to specialize in and i wont have enough perk points. then theirs the fact that i wont be able to fully use my magic because im going to need to upgrade magica health and stamina.

god the choices

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

The game really is amazing. When I first heard the game was only 5gigs I thought something must be wrong with it but the world is massive and at least on the pc the visuals are amazing, though sadly still glitchy at times. Its ridiculous how Bethesda makes you care about your character in their games. Im around 24 hours in and I have hardly touched the main quest so I can't really comment on its quality. But the near infinite sidequests have thus far mostly been very unique and satisfying. There is just way too much to do. 24 hours in and I have only gone through a very small fraction of the game. Also transforming into a werewolf is ridiculously satisfying. The people who haven't finished the quest that lets you become one, are in for a real treat when you do.
