I was being sarcastic , so make em wait means exactly that , everybody no time table , and seeing this is about GT6 releasing and i said make em wait commonsense would know it was for GT6 , I also said why I wanted them to make em wait . Just look at the meltdowns over GT5's time frame , even now  it is brought up , Gtplanet a website with millions of followers was created because of the continued wait for GT5 , so imagine the drama if they followed my advice.

If I came across short with the "so you tell me remark " I apologise blame it on my  lack of coffee.

nah, i think they'll release it on PS3. (While Gt7 will definetly be a PS4 title, but i dont think they break their '2 GTs per Gen' tradition. and making GT6 with the Toobox that is  GT5 shouldnt take that long. Sure, they've taken it too far on the PS2, throwing in so many Cars already. (And going back to a smaller ammount after advertising their games with 'look at how many Cars there are.. !', it could turn out to be bad publicity.) 

But since they have their first real PS3 Game out now, they can simply reuse what they've did,  and refine it a bit. (and give every Car Cockpit view) - which may spare them a lot of time. So yeah, not throwing in another GT on PS3 would be stupid in the end, since they can skip Engine Works, a huge ammount of texturing, etc.

GT5 took an insane dev time because PD remade the racing engine from scratch for this game. GT1-4 and PSP all play off the original GT1 engine (although highly modified since GT1). Even if they release GT6 on PS4, they don't have to redo the physics, just add cars, bump up the polygon count, and add to the damage and simulation. However GT6 on PS3 still has potential. There are so many things GT5 did not do, or just didn't do well, and GT6 could fix them all, and give us a proper GT for PS3.

Lol, no they don't.  I'm guessing he's speaking of the Meta score.  Of course, it doesn't really matter the score, if it doesn't carry over into the sales.  Which is the case for Forza 4.

For game aspect, yes that is the Metascore, that maybe Polyphony Digital is willing to come second to. They would need to really polish a lot of their game modes, and properly bring back rally (with significantly more premium rally cars and courses, not track editor crap).

For sim aspect....I don't think PD wants to come second. Reputation is on the line, and with every iteration, more and more people are starting to say Forza is a better sim then GT.

Sales say otherwise.  You can argue metacritic scores all day, afterall they are partly opinion and some people even like to throw in troll reviews to get hits.  However, you can't argue sales.  Just like I could say, based on internet forums, more people are hating COD than hating Battlefield, so more people like Battlefield.  Sales prove otherwise.  And since Forza 4 has launched weaker than Forza 3, it will probably end up selling less than its predecessor.  But even if it did sell as well as Forza 3, it would come nowhere close to what GT5 will eventually stop at.

im sure people had to wait when zelda ocarina of time was 1st announced

im sure people had to "wait" for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas when it was 1st announced

Halo 4 was 1st announced at this years E3.

now let me ask you this, what are the people who want Halo 4 doing right now at this period in time? *crickets* could they be "waiting"??

Considering how long it takes them to finish games nowadays, they might go for a different strategy in the future and release a Prologue to the Prologue before they eventually release Gran Turismo 6: Part 1 and later on Part 2 and Part 3. Gran Turismo 6 could very well be five games!

isn't this basically the prologue to GT5:prologue?

Sales =/= Quality. All GT5 outselling Forza 3 and likely 4 means that it's the brand name, and more established. Same situation applies for Modern Warfare, it's been on consoles much longer then Battlefield has, and it's established itself. Same with Halo, and heck New Super Mario Bros. I mean New Super Mario Bros, without bundles, has about 15 million sales, while Donkey Kong Country and other platformers sell much much less. Is it a better game? Not necessarily.

Most of the best sims are PC racing games, and they sell much more poorly then GT5 and Forza because they lack content (usually car rosters are 20-30 cars long), but they aren't limited by the systems specifications. GTR for instance models suspensions the most realistically and has been doing so for the longest time. You don't get sill jumps in this game without damaging your car like you do in GT5.

Forza 4 also hasn't launched weaker then Forza 3. Week 1 sales were higher, and it released earlier into the holiday season. We will have to wait until the end of the holidays to gauge it's success, but right now it's doing about as well as Forza 3.

and before that, they were working on Vision Gran Turismo, but that game never released (Well they used stuff from that game to make HD Concept). HD Concept released as a demo, the full version was scrapped in favor of GT5:Prologue
