Forums - Gaming Discussion - New stats show Mobile gaming is slaughtering handheld consoles!

Yep, the keyword here is FREE!

I only use free games too, and only pay for practical apps after trying the lite version.

My fave game company is G Gee because everything is free, and you dont have to pay and upgrade to play the full version.

Around the Network

There are a lot of people in this thread who have their heads firmly planted in the sand. The mobile market is changing and Sony/Nintendo aren't going to be the better for it.

The 3DS was doing so poorly that the price was slashed two months after launched and while it has recovered a bit, things are far from great with the platform.

And the Vita is going to crash and fucking burn. That's painfully obvious to everyone outside of Sony.

This is all anecdotal evidence, but I worked at a summer camp last year with kids ages 10 - 14, and when I had to yell at them to stop playing on their game device, it was almost always on a phone or iOS device of some sort. Out of the 8 weeks the camp ran only one kid brought in a DS, but every single day there were kids trying to play Angry Birds or Tiny Wings on their phones.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

It's a new generation. Handhelds are true only cutting edge entertainment in the palm of your hands. Phones are now mini computers. Snake isn't the only thing you play them for anymore. Times have changed, but it's crazy how quick.

i have a better idea.

lets put all consoles and handholds that have been on the market until now and compare! this way fits my way of thinking is better therefore its the right way! Not!!!
