The Strange Relic in Uncharted 3 is a reference to Jak and Daxter, the series of games Naughty Dog worked on before Uncharted, unfortunately they only made 3 linear games for Jak and Daxter. Leaving many wondering if there will be a fourth.

The Strange Relic in Uncharted 3 is found in Chapter 4... Coincidence? Or is Naughty Dog hinting at Jak and Daxter 4?

Very witch hunt-esque haha but do you think that was Naughty Dog's intention?

I think they were in all the uncharted games. So it doesn't mean J&D4 is in the making sadly

Strange Relic is a tradition in Uncharted games, it appears in all of them. The treasure count says 100 but it's actually 101/100

Well I know they always put a Strange Relic in, I just thought it was really convenient that they put it in Chapter 4.

In the previous Uncharted games it was on Chapter 5, but for some reason, again maybe just coincidence, they put it in Chapter 4. After the rumours flying around about Jak and Daxter 4 possibly being their next game, It struck me as odd, maybe even intentional.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this haha.

do you guys honestly believe IF ND makes a new Jak game for the ps4...it will have a huge impact? sales wise hw AND sw?

I'm not saying it has to have a huge impact..BUT ND is in a position now among the sony first party teams as one of the leaders. I don't believe they will and maybe even should persue something that does not have the potential to be big. Uncharted should definitely continue next gen and I also want to see a new IP from them..but I don't know if making a new Jak game will be beneficial to them as devs.

again, just to clarify, I'm not saying devs shouldn't make games that won't sell gangbusters (we won't have titles like Vanquish if that was the case) but ND being ND, I doubt we will see another Jak unless they see sales potential, hence my question

It really wouldn't hurt anything if they had a small dedicated team working on a new Jak & Daxter game, while larger teams focus on Uncharted/a new IP.  Just as long as the small dedicated team aren't forced to kick out a game before it's ready to be released.

oh ok now that I can see happening..I actually HOPE they expand more by next gen. Some smaller projects focused on PSV for example would be nice as well.
