Looks awesome, especially if this is the XBLA title.

You know, the two Dead Rising 2 games on XBLA looked just like the real Dead Rising 2. It's possible for Alan Wake to be of the same quality. I'll hold my opinion until we get closer to launch.

Hey Microsoft...how about a PC versions of this one? No? Alright...

Begin, this graphics war has...

Folks really need to stop calling this Alan Wake 2. This is Alan Wake: Night Springs; change the thread title.

OT: This looks really good and shows how far XBLA games have come. Like someone mentioned, it will probably be similar to the Dead Rising 2 XBLA games, where is wont be a full game, but run on the same engine as the full game.

OMG is that a Screw gun in his hand?!

EPIC!!!!!!!!

Im glade I just finished Alan Wake because the wait would be unbearable!

Actually that looks like a nail gun, and that isn't very impressive. Just a really weak pistol. I am somewhat ambivalent about Alan Wake. I enjoyed the game, and purchased all of the extra content. Unfortunately it was overpriced for all that was being offered. The first game was simply too short, too linear, and the scenario far too repetitive. Sadly the game needed to be more grounded in reality.

What the game needed was what seemed to be promised earlier in the development cycle. Which was a stable hub world that allowed for some branching. Not to mention some needed juxtaposition that would allow players to get a chance to come down off the adrenaline before more monsters were thrown at them. The impact was very much lessened by the constant attacks. Really it is anticipation and dread that give horror its real power. In the end I became inured to their tactics after about fifteen minutes. When I realized I wasn't going to have to be hyper aware, because I was just going to be mobbed constantly.

Anyway given the medium it shouldn't be overpriced like the last title, and we can hope that this game might say make some time for world development, social interactions, and better pacing. Look I liked Alan Wake, and I like hamburgers too. Doesn't mean I am going to spend sixty dollars on a happy meal. I cannot justify paying sixty plus dollars with tax for a game I will burn completely through in just a few days. They need to work towards creating a series that is going to be longer lasting with more replay value.

So I am cautiously optimistic if it isn't the above then I shouldn't be out too much for a decidedly weak fix. On the other hand if it starts to live up to that kind of promise then I will probably stick with the series. I honestly had no real intention of buying Alan Wake 2. So they are getting a little bit of a second chance with me.
