Maybe it's not a "forest" and just woods...? But anyway, Sully did lampshade the ridiculousness of the scenario.

It's definitely a rainforest, and I know Sully did, but it's still weird!

like sully said where ever drake goes there's bound to be a rainforest

But still, a rainforest in FRANCE? France has a similar climate to south England.

maybe it's warm in that one perticular area lol

There aren't even any rainforests in the most southern points of europe let alone France, no area in France is even near warm enough, it has to be 25-35 °C all year round.

I took it as a joke.  Their are heavily forsested areas of France, but it just felt like ND realized the whole game was taking place without a Jungle environment and took some liberties with the French location for a joke - right down to Sully's comment.

I lot of the flowers, etc. shown were definately fine for France but the trees and waterfalls were a lot more jungle than you'd probably find in a Chateau around Paris.

But hey, why worry about a jungle in France given what they encounter benneath the Chateau.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

so what countries don't have rainforest, and does it rain there all the time? well i would think so since its called a rainforest.

They say " East of France "

And I live in France, when I see the forest, I believe that was a jungle ^^

Distribution of rainforests (Jungles)

that wasn't a rain forest.

Because it's a game. And most games never really go for realism.

I'm waiting a few weeks (or months) but I want to make a separate thread for Batman AC, Gears 3, and Uncharted DD where I just troll the hell out of them for their WTF moments. Here's an example:

In Arkham City, there's a bunch of dead bodies that people believe were killed by Bruce Wayne (Batman). There was even eye witnesses. Batman examines one of the bodies and even finds Bruce Wayne's fingerprints on the murder weapon. Eventually, it's revealed that the killer is a guy that made a Bruce Wayne mask out of dead people's faces! So how the hell did Batman's prints get on the weapon?

Just another bad example of video game story telling.

Yeah it was, a "jungle" is a tropical rainforest. Even if Sully didn't tell us it was a jungle, you could easily see it was one by the plants.
