lol im 17 and people want my id when ever i buy a 15+ game and everybody thinks i look 14 years old :(

lol, I'm 19 am I got asked for ID earlier this year for a 12 rated game.  I don't blame the store workers, it's the store policy.  Until I recently left for university, I worked part time at a hardware/gardening store chain and we had to ask anyone who looked under 25 for ID when buying aerosols, knives, fireworks, solvents and the like.  If we didn't, we would face disciplinery action.  But the example in the op is just rediculous though.

Some shops in the UK are beyond ridiculous when asking for an ID. I remember a Saturday late night I went to a Spar and the guy was so used to asking for IDs that he asked me for one even though I was buying a sandwich.

The "girl" at the counter must've been 100. Lacking both in logic and eyesight, that is.

That could certainly explain things.

this, some stores take this very very seriously.  the place by mean the cash registrar itself won't even complete the sales without entering my birth information.

That's ridiculous imo >_>

Hey, if they didn't enforce their policy that way they'd be accused of profiling...

it's why 90 year old women have to be checked just as seriously as everyone else at the airport.

Really though, it must be a slow news day, a LOT of stores are like that.

Hell, plenty of cash registers require you type in a valid drivers license/state ID number before you can buy alcohol.

I got carded for an M Game... when I was 27.

I've been denied alcohol because my driver's license (which clearly showed that I was 32) had expired THAT DAY.
