We all know how PC gamers like to remind us how much better FPS gaming is better on the PC, but what games are in your top 10 for FPS console gaming?

5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (sorry to break the rules, its not exclusive, but its amazing)

6. Resistance: Fall of Man

7. Medal of Honor: Frontline

9. Star Wars Battlefront (just for kicks)

10. No One Lives Forever (I don't care what you say, this was a fun game)

I've never played Metroid games or Perfect Dark so I won't put them on the list. Also I find Console FPS games more fun than PC gaming. its hard having one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse. its easier having both hands on one controller

1. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Ontop of being a really good game, the controls are perfect. I actually really don't like console FPS but I loved this game. The controls just felt so natural and made me really like this game. I could never get into MP and MP2 but the controls let me get into this game.
2. Bioshock - I love this game. Love love love. Sad is though I don't love it because it's a good FPS (because it really isn't that good), I loved it for the storytelling and atmosphere.
3. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition - Technically it's against the rules since it's not a FPS but it's still a shooter and it's still excellent. This is another game that just nailed the controls and it's interesting because you can compare it directly against duel analog and mouse/keyboard and this is by far the best version.
4. Gears of War - Just like RE4, even though it isn't a FPS I still lump it with all the shooters. This is another game that controlled really well and the cover mechanic just made the game so gosh durn fun.
5. Goldeneye 007 - Before Halo there was Goldeneye. Excellent design, excellent multiplayer, and good controls just made this a legendary game.
6. Halo: Combat Evolved - This game did wonders for the console FPS. It brought in a few health system, and controlled very well, and it was just so accessible. No top FPS list is complete without this game.
7. Call of Duty 4 - While I still haven't finished this one, I love how cinematic it is and how it keeps all the encounters fresh even though you're really just doing the same thing over and over again.

I should smack the crap out of you, twesterum. You broke the rules and you listed third person shooters, lol. :-|

start this thread again after Killzone 2 and my list will change. (by that i mean Killzone 2 will be first)

 Not trying to derail the topic, but I don't quite understand your logic.  Is it that hard to keep one hand on a keyboard and the other hand on a mouse?  It keeps your hands just as busy as they would be with a gamepad...in fact it's generally less complicated, as you're almost always pressing W,A,S,D for moving, along with various keys for jumping, reloading, etc.  Your left hand never has to move, and your right hand's always on the mouse.

Anyway, just trying to say why I like PC shooters better hehe.

As for my favorite console shooters, it'd have to be Metroid and Halo.
