Joelcool is obviously wrong when he says that "putting boys in girl scouts is just wrong those activites have been created for girls and chances are the boy won't enjoy them as much" -- this kid seems very likely to enjoy them, although he is unusual in that respect.

But Armads is just as wrong when he leaps to the conclusion that this kid should be considered a girl, or considers himself a girl, just because he likes "girly" things. That kind of thinking only perpetuates gender stereotypes.

Kid shouldn't be allowed in the girl scouts. There are times when boys and girls really do need to be separated such as this or in sports.

I'm kind of annoyed they even let Michelle Wie play in PGA events, if she can do that why can't Luke Donald or Phil Mickelson go play in the LPGA and absolutely dominate it?

She can't even win in the LPGA, I don't know why she thought she could compete in the PGA. 

All I'm saying is if a woman can play in a men's league (non physical sports) then why can't a man play in a woman's league? I would love to see the uproar it would cause if Bubba Watson played in the LPGA and outdrove the women by 100+ yards each hole without breaking a sweat. The choice is freedom or equality...can't have both.

These things tend to be fairly knowable, so long as the child themselves make it unambiguous. Some parents can hide it, some embrace the criminal notion that these attitudes can be changed, some embrace what is there

I tend to have an open mind about people and their sexuality but I agree with this post.  Kids tend to be asexual at such a young age.  I will admit that I wore my mom's high heels once or twice as a kid.  Didn't make me want to be a girl or anything.  It was just something innocent.  I played jump rope and stuff with the neighborhood girls and then I would turn around and play football and basketball with the guys.  At 7 years old, this kid should not be having such feeling.  I'm no therapist and maybe this kid has hormone issues.  I don't know.  But at 7, I just don't buy the whole Transexual thing.

I don't really see any evidence of her forcing him to do something he doesn't want to. She's simply acting all silly if she thinks he's necessarily transgendered.

Funny when I see news from my city and state that I never heard before coming here. It has happened more then once.

I would suspect the person's mother has a strong influence on this more than the child really wanting to join.
