Certainly should shut up the people complaining about Obama getting us into another war. By supporting a popular movement on the ground, we did it quick, clean, and effective

Yeah, shut them up good. They're almost as silent as the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

As for quick... "Days, not weeks."

Months as opposed to an open-ended commitment in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the civil war likely would have dragged on much longer without US intervention

The peace prize i saw as more political than anything, but not so much in a bad "we'll give it to him because he's not George Bush" kind of way, but in a more utilitarian "we'll give it to him so that maybe he won't become George Bush" kind of way

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

i wonder whats on the mind of hugo chavez today...

He has the support of lots of his people, far more than Gaddafi. Not sure why he is relevant

There's so much hypocrisy behind all this shouting from the rooftops. Western policy on this has sucked for many years. It continues to suck.

Let's get rid of the dictators we dislike, the one's that don't behave or support western investment or don't have the ability to threaten us militarily.

being gaddafis most vocal supporter...that they both shared an inclination towards autocracy is really just a side bit...

meh... he was never a concern for me. I'd prefer to see many other far worse Arab countries reformed from tyrannical and extreme Islamic states to democratically non-religious states.

This one is actually going to go from dictatorship relatively free state to more extreme Islamic state.. watch.

I guess it worked, then, to the extent that he's doing shit George Bush could only dream about, and with barely a peep being raised about it.

I would say western policy has been fairly consistent in support of democracy against authoritarianism in the post cold-war era, except where it comes to Saudi Arabia

The video of him still alive just before they clearly finished him off... how scared must he have been!? Hopefully as scared as all the people he murdered.

could you please Link me?

wow... barbaric.

I don't care who he is... if he's caught alive, he should be spared and brought to trial.

Yeah the whole trophy kill thing should never be allowed. Its just wrong.

I understand wanting photographs to prove what has happened but, it should be done in a humane way. ugh... people suck sometimes.

... and people can't come in here saying ish about the region or arabs etc... as this type of barbarism happens with western nations, US, Israelis, etc... its just not right.
