Oh Oh... the AusGamer review has been added to the Metacritic database. Good bye, 96% :( I can't believe how much effort Nintendo have to put in a game and make it the most imaginative possible because it's not on PS3 and Xbox360. That's my opinion. Sometimes I just feel like the world wants you to fit into the mould or else you'll be punished...

Sorry, I cranked it up a little. Skyward Sword is indeed my favorite Zelda game and I'll never understand how even the critics use a dated game like Ocarina of Time as a reference nowadays.

*SPOILERS*

I mean, the criteras have changed now... The world has evolved. Those who claim the story is simple, let me laugh at you. Was the story in Ocarina of Time really that compelling? Let me doubt about it. With the Demise, the curse, the cycle, the past and present, the reincarnation of the goddess... There's enough stuff here to be considered as a great story!

I agree with what you're saying, but I (like many other people here) haven't reached that part of the story. So, can you please remember to add spoiler warnings in future

Yesterday I finally finished Ratchet & Clank All 4 one, so I could finally start with Zelda - probably my most anticipated game in years!

Even though I'm hardly an hour into the game, I'm loving it so far. Being in Skyloft felt like coming back home after years of absence.

I even really like the graphics, I definitely prefer them over, for example, Twilight Princess graphics. They remind me a bit of Wind Waker graphics, which was my absolute favourite graphics style so far.

The game gets better later on, believe me

Glad to hear you're enjoying it though!

those 1 star review are definitely bullshit, every 1 star review always seems to complain about controlls but I love them so it doesn't concern me, I bet they are purposely try and not like the controlls so they can troll.

Can you post these 100 reviews? I'll add them to the OP.

Also, how are you finding the game? Have you finished it?

I'm taking my time with the game, nearly done with the 4th Dungeon, ancient cistern.  I go back to playing twilight princess to see how it feels like to back the TP style and it feels weird, I sometimes swing the wii remote thinking I'm playing Skyward sword, a bit hilarious I thought.

Haha man the boss of the fourth dungeon was bananas, that was stupid amounts of fun

I've been hearing some very good things about this fight in the 4th dungeon. I can't wait to reach that point really! Great game so far though. Can't wait to see it get even better!

Also, thanks guys for the updates! I'll update it very soon...

I'm nicely surprised by how good the game is. I barely started playing, and am now doing the second dungeon (Earth). I was worried about the controls at first, but after playing for a while, I like them. It's still not 100% responsive/accurate all the time, but it is more fun than with the "classic" controls.

I'm also delighted by the game's difficulty. It's not really a difficult game per se, but it is still more challenging than the series' Gamecube era. The Dungeons design is vastly improved over the last 2 games.  I got myself lost a few times already, wondering where to go next, and it's always a blast figuring it all in time. =)

Nintendo also greatly improved the presentation. The animation is top notch, surpassing Wind Waker, the visual style really grows on you, and it is definitely their best story telling effort so far.

All in all, I'm really enjoying the game and if things continue at this pace, it might rank among the top in the series, alongside A Link to the Past and Wind Waker.
