My preferred console is the ps3.I just want to know 1 thing from ps3 gamers that if GT5 is better than Forza 4 than why GT5 got lower critics review than Forza 4?

As per crictics Forza 4 is scoring far better than GT5 till now.

look at the reviews and read them before you give to cents about a score. a score means shit and so does metric. if thats how you choose your games then maybe you shouldn't be a gamer.

whts the review score for both games on this site? GT5 scored an 8.8 and Forza scored a 9/10. Forza got better scores in gameplay 9.5/10 an presentation

an GT5 got a 9.5 value score which means GT5 is the better value. at the end of the day its about what you want. VGC gave Forza4 a better score, but GT5 is the better value.

and as for all those metric reviews or average percentage or what ever. i've read mostly all of the reviews on GT5 and they only had a complaint about the grapic's so GT5 being a few points in most review scores behind Forza means nothing.

don't ask questions like that. bother reading more then 5 reivews and get a true perspective.

there both great value people so enjoy them! read the reviews not just the score or you won't look to bright.

Refere undrlined statements

(1) What i know is that most gamers checks reviews first before investing their money.Anyways  i will read from now atleast 5 reviews for a game to get true perspective. cool its a must. i didn't sound like i had a stick up my A***did lol? i also want you to consider how old GT5 really is. your preferred console is PS3 so i'm sure you heard.

GT5's build started on PS2 and was later built for PS3. so really this comparison makes not one lick of sense. 2 games on 360 and your bond to get it right. starting early on PS3 and likely the only thing you'll get right is late early PS3 graphics and what GT5 is known for.

(2) Asking question is a right of every gamer or person out here. What was in my mind i asked.U clarify some points so thanks for that

true. thats a right of every human. the thing is that: well long story short you see what's going on in this thread? thats why you shouldn't ask questions when it comes to the 2 biggest dogs in this genre, cause you'll get what you see in this thread. my goal was only to get you to read more reviews so you can see the answer for yourself.

you noticed i haven't taken any sides in the matter and like you my main console is PS3.

now i have a question! have you play'd GT5? if so tell me how the out side sound of the car difer's from the cockpit? i noticed somebody posting that and well when you think about it it should sound different.

now the difference from me asking a question and you asking a question was you should have looked for somebody posting that looked like they new what they were talking about less you get someone with an overly biased opinion.

now for me asking you my question. you just happen to fall in my lap or better yet quote me, and i happen to think your not biased.

so can you tell me which one sounds better when your not in the cockpit? i think we both know the sound should be suppressed when your in the cockpit.

your welcome. i'm only here to shuffle throught the junk mail so you don't have to lol.

Sorry but even with 2D trees, GT5 looks better, it looks lifelike, Forza's colors are lame, and from the first glimpse i could say it wasn't GT5. Washed colors. BTW why is the environment so empty in Forza? Where are the people? Where is the grass?

You tell me.

I dont tend to notice blades of grass while racing, i try not to keep still, but then again sacrafices have to be made for one thing, and id prefere night and weather fetures for m realistic racing, than blades of grass, just saying, its a racing game not a gardening game

Your friend brought the argument up first not me and sure weather features are bounus for some, but is it really worth when the framerate can take serious hit as well as looking this ugly at times?

IMO.

- Environments look better in Forza 4

- Cars looks better in GT5 (Forza 4 has the same quality of some Standard cars)
- Sound is better in GT5
- Track is better in GT5

There are more... but in the video I can just see it.

Pretty much this.

confused, I thought you were on Forza's side, notice the complete lack of texture and shadow in that Forza copit, like it was made of glass

huh

Look at the dash board......hell look at the whole cockpit, the only thing textured in the forza vid was the steering wheel

So you prefer it when realistcally, day turns to night within 15 minutes of driving?

I see you havnt played the actual 24 hours race then? which is another realistic reafture id rather have over grass...

Its not really noticable in game, and again id rather have it....than not. A feature that i would sacrifice grass for

Wow this thread is hilarious... then again, it was always going to happen with this topic!

Anyway, whilst I think Forza 4 looks more asthetically pleasing and is technically better on lighting and environmental textures, it looks a little over the top in places for a game that's trying to go for a realistic look. Lighting in general is overdone in numerous games but most aren't going for a life-like look but more of a pseudo realistic feel (Uncharted, Gears, Mass Effect, Halo etc.). If you look at Nsanity's pic of the grass earlier in the thread, the lighting makes it look too shiny and reflective whereas GT5's looks a little bland but not as over the top.

The same seems to be true of the sound. The car sounds more raw in Forza 4 whereas GT5 sounds a bit weak in comparison, but considerring it's only a Roadster, I'm not sure how accurate that portrayal is.

It's definately a feature worth having. Having the rain fall in the middle of a previously dry race adds a completely new dimension to the gameplay and the races. Wrong tire choice can mean the difference between winning by 20 seconds or finishing outside the top 10. The points you highlight are barely noticeable when you're racing.

If you want good looking weather effects though, the last two F1 games are miles ahead.

.. who really cares? if you love Car Sims & you have a PS3 & 360 just buy both!
