I think Nintendo does struggle with the 11-24 male demograph, but is probably doing fine or clearly on top of all other demographs. I think the struggle with the 11-24 male demograph has almost always been the case though, I don't remember a time since the NES where they did well there; and even in the NES era they preferred Arcade.

Nintendo, however, managed to take the other demographs from Sony this generation. Sony who clearly dominated everything before.

All I have to say on the matter is that Nintendo has always been looked at as the uncool company since Sega said that they were. It was a brilliant marketing campaign that is still working for Sony and Microsoft even though they didn't come up with it. Mortal Kombat had blood on the Genesis, the original Playstation was cool with the beer drinking jocks while the N64 was "gay", the Gamecube was a purple lunch box that didn't matter, and the Wii is just for kids and soccer moms.

But Nintendo is still around. Why? They make great games. To be honest, Nintendo has been Nintendo's biggest enemy over the years.

I should also add that applies to many game companies. When the falter compared to what made them hits, it's their own fault, not any competition.

Nintendo lost themselves their place on top of the mountain, Nintendo themselves got back up, and Nintendo themselves are knocking Nintendo off again. Therefore, it will be up to Nintendo themselves to be great again, and hopefully stay that direction.

Ok let's put it like this so if the Wii was HD and the PS3 and 360 was not and Wii HD gamer do they same to you PS360 with no HD bunch of party games and kids games. The Wii HD gets Nintendo 1st Parties and Third Parties support how will you PS360 gamer feel .............. the same. We would say the exact same thing and you will be like Wii gamers. Nintendo is clearly not leaving or losing in gaming why their games and franchises keep them up. Even when their consoles don't do well or on par with other but really this the first time Nintendo choose a different direction and a WISE one. You complain when Nintendo is on top but when they on bottom you want to take it like no big deal at all. Gamers well..... Western Gamers where is you knowledge in Gaming.

I am not sure why people think Nintendo made a terrible mistake this generation. Console sales have thus far increased from 19,000,000 last generation to 90,000,000 this generation so far and have a brand new fresh console on the way soon that the development community is raving about.

The company that royally messed up this generation was very clearly Sony who dropped from 150,000,000 to 52,000,000, declining sales year over year, and with no new console in site.

I don't know. I haven't touched my Wii in well over a year but I never count Nintendo out.

Even with the bad rumors surrounding the WiiU I'll be getting one day one and as long as they don't screw anything up and put things like friend codes in it I'm pretty positive it will be great.

Also this year Nintendo set their FOCUS on Nintendo 3DS games and features. That is why the Wii is not doing to well this year and the DS. People always rule out the FACTs and uses mindless opinions.
After the 3DS continue in a great shape they will focus on all. Most of their developers are working on 3DS titles right now.

I really hope it goes back to last, like the Gamecube was. They are great for new ideas, the touch screen, 3D, motion controllers, this Wii U thing, but there games are just so bad. When the best games for the Wii are Super Mario Galaxy and Brawl it just shows how bad the console is.

The games they make are either kiddy games or these casual family games, they dont have anything like PS3 has Uncharted and Xbox has Halo, they just dont have anything any good. I own a Wii but theres nothing at all worth buying.
