Final Fantasy XIV is still coming to PlayStation 3. Square Enix announced today a beta will open for the console version sometime starting October and November 2012, the actual game scheduled to ship in January 2013.  

The PlayStation 3 release is part of a schedule, or road map, leading to the game’s overall reboot, dubbed “Version 2.0.” In November or early December, the game will begin to charge monthly for PC players, but return to a free state late next year when the PlayStation 3 beta begins.

now i have been saying for a while that Final Fantasy Versus XIII wont release until 2014 and this only backs my claim ..(sigh)..

What happened to 2011?
Thought this would be the only console it released on when it released in 2011?
Anyhoo, I believe this is another Last Remnant in the making.



PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

i dont know why you thought it would release in 2011

and yea this is the only console it will release on

hopefully it wont be a Last Remnant situation

the only reason that Last Remnant didn't release on ps3 was because the devs didn't want to make the extra content for the ps3 version(like all the year old ports are required to have on ps3). The game probably ran a lot worse on the ps3 version also so they would have needed to fix some of those problems(the 360 version was already horrible) and it seems like they didn't feel like doing all of that so they just didn't release it

Even with all the problems it's still my favorite game of this gen. (TLR)

Does anybody care about this game anymore?
Why can't they just drop it and accept they screwed up and utilize those resources to support or develop games people actually care about?

just in the nick of time then but i look forward to a real ps3 mmo,

i have it on the PC,bought it for a £10 and it was free to play,when are they starting to charge again as i better get back for a bit before they do
