Is there a way to turn off the speaker on the wii-mote. Because it is really annoying, thx.

Yes....hit the home button....it will bring up a picture of the remote....click on it and it should give you options....one is to disable rumble...the other is to turn the sound down.

Click menu button on remote, then wii remote settings at bottom, and turn the volume down.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Thank you.

I keep mine on the lowest volume except when I take it downstairs for the family [Wii sports/play].... I like the idea of the speaker but it is quite a poor speaker.

yeah just press the home button on the wii remote and click the wii remote on the screen and it will allow you to change the sound level!!!!

It took me a while to find that out too. I remember I had brought my Wii home with me 2006 Christmas to show to my family and I had stayed up late playing Zelda. There I was content playing my game at 1 in the morning and then I hear my mom yelling at me to turn off whatever was making that god awful racket.

Apparently she didn't appreciate the attack sound from the speaker the wolf makes. If I would have known how to turn it down I would have but I was forced to stop playing for the night because I didn't think you could. ;_;
