How very condescending of you.
I don't think everyone gets the same level of enjoyment from sex. It's just more important to some people than it is to others.
And I don't think I'm too much of an idiot, but I'm definetly not miserable.
Oh please, I'm not condescending. You should be miserable for not having sex and not having a way to forget about not having sex. Since you aren't miserable, there is something wrong with you. I'm not looking down on you. If anything, I envy you. Seriously. Although you probably have a genetic defect or you have brain damage. You might want get yourself checked at the hospital. But for now, enjoy your life.
Is this guy serious?
Talk about being shallow.
Come on, shallow as opposed to what? You're either grossly overestimating humankind or you're screwing with me.
I meant that lightheartedly, but I hope you are joking. Is that all you really care about in life? I want to know if YOU'RE the one screwing with ME.
I enjoy many things. I enjoy watching movies, gaming, watching and playing football, hanging out with good company, doing drugs and having sex. But that's all irrelevant. Humans must reproduce. Mostly not consciously so, but it still is the most important thing in the world. To reproduce you need to have sex.
Sex is the meaning of life. All other things are either to A) improve your chances to have sex (ie getting a job, trying to look good, being nice), or B) to distract yourself from not having sex (ie watching movies, playing videogames, doing drugs). When you don't feel the need to have sex at adult age, there is something wrong with you as that is seriously dysfunctional behavior.
Just wanted to get in this convo...
As a highly advanced species, most humans aren't concerned with living just to survive. That may have been the case many centuries ago when species survival was top priority and reproduction was a necessity for anyone who could produce. However, that's not the case today. We're at a point in our civilization where something like reproduction isn't quite as important due to the fact that our species is in no known threat of extinction. People may want sex, but it's certainly not top priority for life.
Im not saying that it's normal for someone to NOT want sex. That's weird, I agree. I'm just saying that sex isn't necessarily the most important thing, supported by the aforementioned paragraph.
For me personally, sex is not my top priority in life. I'm a track runner. I love to run. If I was forced to pick between A.) a life with no sex, or B.) a life with no running; I would choose A,) any day. Sure I'd miss sex, but running is more important IMO. It's the only thing I really care about in this world.
I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. We are not a highly advanced species. The need to reproduce has nothing to do with any threat of extinction. Organisms don't reproduce because of fear of extinction, they reproduce because they're programmed to. It's the only thing, besides basic survival, that matters.
I understand that you prefer track running over sex. Many people prefer things over sex. And it is totally irrelevant. As a species, sex is always more important than any other activity. You may not consciously feel that way yourself. But even masturbation is sex. It's a simple but brillant trick to relieve yourself from your sex drive for a few moments. Try not masturbating and not having sex for a while. You'll be in agony. Track running will only be a distraction from that agony, albeit a pretty good one in your case, but not so much in my case.
Long story short: there is nothing we as humans as a species desire as much as sex. It is the most important thing in life, and we aren't any different in that respect to any other species.
