Forums - Gaming Discussion - so is killzone 3 a hard fps, or am i just a newb at fps

Killzone 3 is one of the easiest FPS's I've play

most fps's are easy to me,that's because I just put it on the easiest level and race through the campaign. lol

your a noob you can walk into a crowd of enemies and still not die.

I've noticed Killzone 3 is about as hard as Uncharted 2. So yes it is hard. Like with most other FPS on normal I just run in guns a blazing. Not with Killzone, I stick my head out for more than 2 seconds I'm dead. And that's on normal. I shudder at hard.

Are you serious? LOL your just not that good then.

My definition of hard might be off. But no game in the past 10 years was uncompletable hard. Hard games in the past where so difficult that knowing the endsequence of certain games was proof of your god like gaming abilities. It is time consuming to plat a game I will give it that and definetly very challenging to get some Throphies. But I almost burst out in tears when I was younger playing some games. Because I couldnt accept that I was mocked by a piece of plastic. Seeing the same levels daily for hours for weeks can be soul crushing. Hard in the past meant not beeing able to finish. In the Internet you find nice videos of guys that dominate every game. But in reality its rare.

This is my defenition of hard: impossible to finish without the dedication of an insane person.

Thats why I dont even notice games that are challenging. I cant even remember when I last thought: Damn I have to give up cant afford to spend the time to complete this game.

If you are not into shooter it might seem hard at first. But as soon as you know where the enemies are going to be and have improved your reflexes pretty much every shooter is similary easy. Sure the highest difficulty is a challenge almost always but never impossible, so that you might think: "I give up its not worth it"

you just suck, KZ3 is a watered down casual fest

KZ2 on the other hand...

the weak point of kz3 was the story imho...so much potential but horrible delivery...MP is ace tho :D so are you referring to the sp or mp? someone didn't read the OP.

neither is too difficult compared to other games..but in mp it just practice and with time you unlock abilities to really aid you

i wouldn't know about how hard it is on easy considering i only play on the hardest difficulties when it comes to games.

it took me eight hrs to beat it on the 2 hardest difficulties. there are sections that really can hammer you down but theyare few and far in between. i honestly only count to sections and the second section doesn't even count.

i say play KZ2 and learn that the play KZ3 again and stop playing on easy or you'll never learn any thing.

seriously though you get a pass cause you don't normaly play shooters. so with alittle more trainning you'll be fine.

set up a 1v1 match wIth M.U.G.E.N. or one of the other members you know here that has the game.

i beat the shit out of those COD fanboys when they play me in KZ lol. don't worry you get there with more practice

You're ^

Killzone 3 wasn't that hard tho the single player was very meh, haven't finished it because it was so poorly executed. But the mech sections were a total pain in the ass tho.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

It's about average as far as FPS games go. The biggest thing that hindered me was the controller.

try it with MOVE, if possible. I never even went back to dual shock

Yeah Move would make it way easier...much like the point and click of the computer mouse.

Hells, even I like playing FPSs with Move, and FPS is my least favourite genre. R3 is the first FPS game we'll be buying with Move functionality and I might just play it through (haven't played R1 or R2 even though we own both). Played few missions of KZ3 with Move, it was great, though it does take some getting used to. I fully agree that if you like FPS and you have a PS3 then Move is the way to go.
