Honestly? Even ps3, 360, and wii had powerful 1st party library. But.... When we talk about 3rd party, 360 just suck in different way compare with wii.
FF13, LA Noire, etc had more 1 disc than PS3 version. For me? That's a big deal at least for me.
And don't forget about RROD.

so your saying 360's lack of first party hurts them and there third party has to many disc and switching disc in and out is annoying.

Plus PS3 and Wii have better quality in hardware.

Americans focus only on profit and not really on their clientel. This is why the entertainment indusry, though it has many talented people is losing its quality. With certain titles I believe in the gaming industry regardless.

Why do americans prefer 360 over the ps3? i mean ps3 had an amazing library! Metal gear solid, uncharted, resistence, rachet and clank, starhawk, last guardian, ff versus 13, journey, twisted metal, white knight chronicales 2 etc (pretty sure i missed some, so feel free to add!). online for ps3 is free and pretty good compared to xbox live 

see what i did there? 

 

but to be honest i have no clue why americans prefer the 360 over ps3.

but why do American people chose 360 over the PS3?  I mean the PS3 has an amazing library!  Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Killzone, inFamous!!  the online is just as good and its free!
