I never mentioned Just Dance, but Kinect is significantly more popular then Move, especially in the Dance genre. Also it's a timed released for Wii and 360, the PS3 version of Just Dance 3 doesn't come out until December, where the 360 and Wii version are already out. This could kill the game on PS3, just like Child of Eden.

As for bundles, 360 has CoD and Gears 3. Ms also said instead of a price cut they will do more bundles. I think MS tops Sony on bundles, but in the end, bundles don't always help that much.

As for those limited edition PS3's.. limited edition.

I don't think PS3 will beat 360 over the holidays mainly because the holidays boost the Americas region most, and 360 is vastly more popular then PS3 in Americas. However I don't think 360 will top PS3 without a price cut or more then just Kinect. Maybe a hardware upgrade will do the trick because then more people will buy Arcade consoles, but still. I think, a tie for the next 3 months is likely, followed by a landslide win for PS3 in the first 9 months of 2012.

There will be much lower effect on sales due to Kinect this year. Price cuts will help but I understand some online retailers have already dropped the price of move controllers and maybe kinect as well (not sure about this) so dont see this affecting sales much.

The regions will pan out pretty much the way they have been going so far tho MW3 may very well see xbox gaining on ps3 in EMEAA but other than that, i dont see anything that will enable xbox to come out on top. Gears is very strong in US but dropping in sales very quickly and i doubt Halo CE will be a huge system seller - it seems to be geared more toward halo lovers who haved played the 1st halo game.

The ps3 price cut, whose effect has pretty much disappeared, will i suspect help it gain some additional sales accross the regions in holiday period which will help the ps3 to keep much of its lead. Other than a price cut, i dont see MS winning this year.

X360 250GB or 320GB bundle featuring: Forza 3, Fable 3, Halo:Reach and Alan Wake would be a great 4 game bundle or Kinect included with every console purchase would be a great added value bonus.

Temporary price cuts and deals to boost sales for the 360 over the Xmas sales period. Swap 4GB console with a 60GB SKU console as the entry level system. Increase 250GB premium to the 320GB premium console.

i wouldn't say vastly popular for every ps3 unit sold in america 1.6 xbox's get sold ps3 in america is what xbox is in europe sale's wise except the gap is a bit smaler in america

and where do you get this timed exclusive just dance thing? ive searched and i cant find it and why would it be exclusive on 2 platforms and yes kinect is more popular then move we all know that but with the recent pricecut on it and a bunch of move games comming out it should get the casuals and the familys onto it and yes if xbox got a pricecut it will outsells ps3 in the holidays but enough to beat the ps3 this year that's tough but it would be 50/50 and with all the long live play thing sony obviously has something massive instored for the holiday season

and the uncharted 3 and battlefield 3 bundle will boost it's numbers in america (ofcourse it won't beat xbox)

Just another way to look at it. MS outsold PS3 by nearly 600K from Oct 10th 2010 to Jan 1st 2011. They need to outsell the PS3 by nearly twice that amount this year without Kinect being the hot new device. If MS have a price cut or something up their sleeves they should do it already.

Well the Americas preview states that X360 will likely be around 100k again this upcoming week so it's likely that 360 will win it's 3rd week in a row against PS3.

Well the Xbox 360 is already at $199. This is why its doing so well in America.

Its possible, but unless they have a price cut(highly likely), or Kinect picks back up(not so much), I can't really see it happening. They're enjoying quite a nice boost in sales off of Gears 3 right now, but that'll die down in a couple of weeks.

Though the Holiday season is definitely 360's strong suit, so we'll see.

If the Xbox 360 coudn't beat the PS3 last year with its half a million marketing campagin for Kinect why does Microsoft think it will do it this year?
PS3 has outsold the 360 2 years in a row(2009, 2010). So far it looks to do the same this year.

I mentioned the same bit of data a few weeks ago and Seece took an attitude with me and basically said 'Well they'll find a way to do it'. It's a statistical improbability. Why can't people just accept its not going to happen. Its not just a baseless fanboy argument, its backed up by the data that we have.
