Star Trek Online. It's pretty bad though.
Aion recently got f2p ... not that bad
And if you are willing to spend time you can make Eve Online more or less f2p (you can buy 30day gtc with ingame currency, so if you farm enough credits you can play it for free)
Oh yes I totally recommend Ragnarok Online ^_^
Aside from that, hmm
Flyff (there are private servers)
Dofus (there are private servers I think, tough Dofus itself is half-free)
Shin Megami Tensei Imagine
Elsword
That's what I recall for now
I remember playing MapleStory, I liked it a lot.
But right now I'm pumped for Planetside 2. Signed up for the beta and all that. It's not an RPG, but oh well. I just had to tell everyone how excited I am!
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I'll kind of second this. It's not woeful, but the ground combat in it is just plain painful to play. I'm enjoying it though, and it'd be one I could advise to try and see if you enjoy it.
Guild wars 2 (no monthly fee)
Lord of the Rings (no monthly fee)
Star Wars the Old Republic ( no monthly fee, but you can pay for it and get prioritized in ques)
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing (mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
GW2 (after the initial buy)

Try Silkroad. The only MMORPG (besides the first Guild War) that I ever invested time in.
