More importantly... When will they update the SW numbers...?

Nsanity is a hit-and-run kind of a dude. Most of the time comes into threads with short comments and then almost never responds when someone calls him out. I wouldn't expect an answer from him

What an attitude...

But I guess that's better than having a pointless conversation where he has been long defeated but keeps pretending to be right and ignoring facts. I hate those.

Defeated? I just posted facts about the weather effects looking pixelated.

I wasn't talking about you, it was a generalisation.

Read first, then answer please.

I know this is my third post, but I'm so excited!

Seriously, after the physics, AI, UI, features (being able to adjust gears, interior view...), saving options, loading times, etc. have been improved, I almost feel like starting GT5 all over again, it'll be like a new game.

I hope all this is included in the discs they release from now so new buyers will get this from the start without having to download.

Now I hope the rumors about new cars and 25 new tracks are true and it'll be the first DLC I ever pay for.

I love the way PD are handling this. They could release a whole new game with all the new content, but we are getting it all with free updates and a DLC! That's customer care. I intend to support this business strategy.

I really dont mean to start a flame war with this comment but really??? The game took 5 years to make and this stuff should have been in the game from the start with all the time they spent.....and your praising them for this wait and overdue updates??? Their business strategy is about making games in the time period that someone can start and graduate college and still wont find the game out.

Where as the "competition" cranks out 90+ games on metacritic almost 3x as fast. I dont get how the fans put up with it.

I'm sorry but GT5 was an excellent game from the start and this just makes it twice as good.

You can say that Forza has more games but GT5 has more for less.

If you want to compare features with GT5 I can also say that Forza won't have weather/time changes, which is a feature that should be there...

All the cars in Forza 4 are treated equally, no standard or premium nonesense and to be fair pixelated weathers effects in GT5 are hardly worth bragging on about.

Didn't check the images because I already know how it looks when playing it, and it looks stunning. I don't know if it's a feature to brag about, but it's definitely a feature worth having and that I would very much miss, it's something that makes the game much, much, much better. In this very thread someone was put off when he knew Forza didn't have it.

And anyway, I was just answering to sales2099. He pretty much came to insult the game and its fans and I defended them, saying that we get as much (if not more) content for less, and that's true. I have also complained of some areas of the game in these very forums before, like the over-simplistic B-spec and the experience system (though I think they fixed that), so it's not like I'm a fanboy, I just tell what I feel needs to be told, and sales2099 was definitely wrong here.

Also, I didn't bring Forza into the equation here, he did, so if you have a problem with that you should quote him instead, and not me, because I don't want to make this thread into a Forza vs. GT thread.

I hope you don't have a problem with that.

I agree he shouldnt have brought up Forza, but the things listed in that update should have been there from the very beginning and after almost 6 years of development there really is no excuse is there?

I could argue that weather/time change should be there, that was my point. GT5 was already great and now it'll be huge, that's my opinion.

If you dislike GT5 then fine. To each his own. There's just no need to come to this thread to bash GT5 when it's a thread that interests those who own or are interested in GT5.

It's as if I go into a Forza thread for the sole purpose of bashing the game. Now you wouldn't like that, would you?

for the bolded, hes never played it, nor does he have intentions to actually do so.

so dont expect a legitimate converstation about what GT5 should of had at launch when debating with him.

GT5 is the most content packed racing sim ever made, and with free updates like this, that could almost be sold as GT5, its just icing on the cake.

also, in the time it took GT5 to come out, PD made Tourist Trophy, Gran Turismo PSP, and Gran Turismo: Prologue, though Nsanity knows this, he justs likes to ignore it because... i guess it makes him feel good inside, perhaps like he won some console war

stop complaining about how bad forza is compared to gt5 (i only read to site 5) and thank turn 10. i mean what a wonder few days before turn 10 releases forza you get this fo free and few weeks later a big dlc. which reason could this be?

reason:

you buy dlc or only download the free update and after hours of gt5 you won't buy forza anymore (if you would have bought it) because not a lot of people play two racing games after each other. first week of forza sales will suffer that's for sure. maybe you will still buy forza but weeks later than you would without all this. they do it to destroy forza sales not because they are so nice but it's good for you that's for sure.

Play first... then hate.

For me the update and DLC is all about good feeling.

This is a great update. Shame on you guys hating, its free content!

@sales2099 thats right i forgot, there were suppose to be 3 GT's in one gen to keep up with content and be the best simulator to beat out competition, despite being massively bundled *troll face

Not really, some were modelled internally at Turn 10, while others were modelled by Dhruva interactive (an Indian company: http://www.dhruva.com/newsite/inside.html#%20Games%20Art%20Studio,Projects ).

As for weather effects and nigth racing, Turn 10 dropped them because they couldn't achieve a steady framerate with 16 cars. Obviously GT5 had them all from the start: 16 cars, steady framerate and night racing (and night time weather effects)...
