Which game do you guys think will sell better on consoles only, lifetime.
Assassins Creed games are currently the best selling new ip this generation for hd consoles, whos sales are only surprassed by call of duty, grand theft auto, and halo this gen. Assissns Creed 2 was slightly more popular than Assassins Creed, but the series lost some steam with brotherhood. Fans seem really excited with Revelations though and preorders hint that this will be the best selling game of the series if its legs hold up.
AC I sold 9mil, AC II sold 9.3mil, AC BH sold 7.5mil so far
Battlefield has sold decently this gen. Bad Company 2 sales doubled bad company's sales. Battlefield 3 looks on track to double bad company 2 sales with its current preorder pace if it has good legs, and even if certain individuals don't believe the preorders on this site, numerous analysts have reported that battlefield 3's preorders are matching black ops from last year.
Battlefield BC sold 2.5mil, Battlefield BC 2 sold 5.4mil so far
I personally believe Assassins Creed Revelations will end up outselling Battlefield 3. I believe Battlefield 3 will sell around 6mil on the 360 and 4mil on the ps3 while Assassins Creed will sell around 5.5mil on each console. Battlefield 3 will be much more frontloaded than Assassins Creed and much of the hype for the game will die down when people realize the console versions are gimped compared to the pc version, so while Battlefield 3 will sell better over the holidays Assassins Creed will pass it with good sales over the next year.
