Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bad news for Nintendo: 3DS hacked

As it happens in these cases, it may boost the console sales but it might hurt games sales badly.

If this means that I can play NA games on my PAL 3DS, in many ways I'm for it.

It will be a non-issue because the 3DS appeals mostly to children and they aren't smart enough to take advantage of the hack.

it was hacked from launch ( in just a few hours apparently ) as far as i remember

That hack only allowed you to play DS games, no 3DS games. That's the reason why this one is different.

It was inevitable, but it's always bad news for any piece of hardware to be hacked (so I think).

Actually it would be similar to the DS. While the DS was easier to pirate (seriously all it took was a card and some roms), it was PSP that suffered from piracy (it wasn't as simple).

However some people are saying this might not be legit enough, so wait and see.

lol let it be hacked .. it didnt effect ds sales all that much.. hacks only hurt sony

Good. It's disgusting how Nintendo can region Lock the damn thing. I was waiting for it to be hacked.
