You can get all the trophies without having to PVP once, that's why the platinum is doable offline as well.

You can get up to 9 Sunshine medals per playthrough, 6 for each time you summon Solaire for a boss fight (Gargoyles, Gaping Dragon, Ornstein and Smough, Centipede Demon and Gwyn. He'll only appear for Gwyn if you rescue him from the Lost Izalith Shortcut, after fighting the Centipede Demon with him, you'll need 30 humanity to get Chaos Servant covenant to +2 to open the shortcut though), there's another given to you by Lautrec and there's 3 on a chest on Anor Londo.

Souvenir of Reprisal can be farmed of the Harpy enemies on Painted World of Aramis, although the drop rate for them is pretty low. 30 Humanity and Covetous Gold Snake Ring is recommended to boost the drop rate to acceptable levels.

I had a very easy time getting sun medals.

So far I have collected 27 and I am at the end of NG+.

I helped a lot of people kill the Iron Golem, Ornstein and Smough, Priciellia and four kings in my first playthrough. ( drop sign for  iron golem right before boss, for Ornstein and co at last bondfire, for Painted world of Aramis at first bondfire, for 4 kings, right before boss.)

I actually ranked twice to level 1 in the Sunlight warrior covenant and I am holding like 7 medals now and didn't do any co-op in NG+ except a few attempts to get help at 4 kings).

Dakrmoon was a little harder until I found the perfect spot.

I dropped my blue sign in the painted world of Aramis around level 70 and got like 10 summons in 1h20...

I won most fights too, ( I am faith build so if a fight went too bad I cheesed out with Warath of Gods spam..).

If you can't get summoned you can actually farm the drops too.

The harpies in Painted world of Aramis drops the souvenir of reprisal, so basically I would drop my blue sign to invade and if it failed I would kill the 4 harpies in Annex , warp back to bondifre, rinse and repeat.

Almost got my platinum here. Still have to beat Gwyn in NG+ and then kill Sif in NG++ and rush to Anor Londo for the Giant Smith to forge my last 2 weapons...

Gwyn isn't easy but at least he isn't harder than in normal game, unlike Four Kings who got such a huge boost..

How do I summon Solare? I have only summoned two guys who first appeared as hostile phantoms (one was at this female spider boss).

How can I enter the Sunshine covenant? Is really the only way to have Faith 50? (if u play off-line).

Also, can I skip level 2 of Chaos servant covenant entirely? Is level 1 enuff?

Solare has a summon sign on the floor close to the boss area , be warned though that in NG+ to get the medal he has to survive the fight and that is unlikely...( not too hard in normal game though).

You need level 2 chaos servant for a pyromancy spell anyway and you need level 2 for the shortcut to save Solaire..

Ali pretty much explained it, but i'll add that to enter the Sunshine Covenant, you've either got to have 50 Faith (25 after patch 1.04) or for everytime you helped online as a white phantom in another player's world to beat any area's boss, the requirement drops 5 points. So let's say you helped 7 times, that shaves 35 points out of the 50 required and thus you'll only need 15 Faith to enter the covenant.

The Black Knight Greataxe is maxed out at 609 damage (99 STR) , if two handed it stops increasing after 66 STR which is disappointing,.

I have 10 M souls right now , seems like a waste to take the STR any further than 66, since you'll get the same damage if two handed.

Not sure what to do with them >< .

I"m playing NG+ now and I can't find Lautrec in his usual cell for him to be rescued. Is there something to trigger this? The wiki is saying this:

Upon starting a brand new game, Lautrec was not in his cage, before the gargoyle battle. After the gargoyles were defeated, returned to Firelink, where my firekeeper was dead, as if Lautrec had been there.... The Wiki suggests that if you enter the depths, he will kill your firekeeper. the only thing i did differently in this game than in others is I went to Blighttown by way of Valley of Drakes and grabbed the Crimson Armor.... Thus enabling the killing of my firekeeper... Without ever encountering Lautrec. Please confirm! (Confirmed)

But I didn't set foot in Blighttown yet, and I actually haven't been back to Firelink since I defeated the Gargoyles to check if Anastacia is dead or not.

Should I buy this or Skyrim? I can only get one and I am not into RPG's in general but I figured ill give it a go...

Im afraid of getting stuck and not getting my money worth though...
