Nice troll thread.

What is sad is you cannot take honest opinions.

Reading between the lines makes the OP's intent clear, i should say.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's all because of the poor third party support which is the result of the lower specs of the Wii.
I can't give it anything more than a 6/10.

7/10

+Good first party line-up
+Innovative motion control
+Commercial Success
+Brought in a fairly small market and made it huge, Casual Gamers
+Gave gaming a good reputation for the most part
+Cheap and accessible

-Dated Graphics
-Weak Third party line-up
-Left Hardcore gamers out to dry
-Didn't bring a single memorable new IP (IMO)
-Same old mascots milked to death (IMO)

Overall, it did a great job with expanding gaming to both adults and kids and made video games look
better in the eyes of parents. However, to me, it was dated, the motion control novelty wore off after a while, I got tired of Mario and the same mascots that they always use to push their consoles with and the biggie for me, no memorable new IP. That is what really breaks a console for me, which is why I never bought a Wii or 360.

I still can't the deny that the WIi did more things right than wrong and was a universal success as far as sales. So well played Nintendo and I really hope WiiU will bring something unique to the table. Looking forward to it.

5/10

+ Some incredible 1st party titles (Galaxy, Corruption etc. all)
+ It really makes you want to play it (at first)
+ Very different

- Graphics look atrocious
- Very weak core software library
- needs games
- needs games
- needs games

That might seem like a really low score if you've seen my comments when I got the Wii. Also, some of the games on the Wii are on my all-time top 5 list.

But lets face it, the VAST MAJORITY of Wii consoles are just gathering dust. Here's the proof from my side:

Gamecube was my favourite console and I bought Wii first, then PS3, then 360, but I've played my PS3 at least 10x as much as the Wii.

It just gets a little old.

10/10

+ creative and innovative controls, and accessories
+ brilliant Nintendo AAA games
+ video games are fun for everyone
+ proved that graphics, blood and violence are not necessary for video games to be enjoyable
+ original and new

- low resolution and graphics performance for today standards, which prevented the Wii from repeating Ps2's dominance
- not enough media/dvd support
- motion plus should have been there from the start
- many great 3rd party games didn't make it to the Wii, and those that did received less support than they deserve

love the Wii, and still got many great games to play on it until WiiU comes out, not that Xbox360 and Ps3 are not great, but most of their games look the same

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Hmmm it's depending on the person I must say, I brought a wii last year and instantly fell in love with the console. Most of the games are "Meh" to me but there are certain games that are incredible fun. At first the motion controls were fun (playing mario tennis with the wii mote was really fun) but now it grew old, especially on games that add motion control only for the sake of it (De Blob anyone?)
But still, I brought a PS3 around two months ago and I thought the games will be more "hardcore" and great and that's not the case at all, I mean it has nice games but really for me it has the same amount of great games as the wii. Maybe it's just me, but the PS3 lacks of variety of games (too much shooters!) as with the wii.
Overall it's a great console, the online functionality I do not use at all so it's not a problem to me, it has great multiplayer (local) games instead of the heavy focused online multiplayer like the PS3 (really Deadrising 2 in local multiplayer should had been a blast) the graphics are ok, nothing to hurts my eyes. In short i guess is a 8/10.

I find it pecular that you are judging a system you have never owned

Owned.

While I dearly love my Wii and would have stuck to PC only games had it not been for Wii, I can only give it a

7.5/10

Pros:
-Expanded the market
-Created all new genres (fitness, dance)
-Great 1st party games
-Great niche games
-Some novel new game ideas

-Accessible to everyone

-Redefined the industry - from 'for geeks living in their mom's basement' to 'Videogames are for everyone'

-I can play (point&click) Adventure games on my TV - yeah!

-VC

-WW

-Revived the 2D platformer (hats off to 'plosionMan and Braid as well)

-Improved gameplay on sports, sandbox and FPS, enjoyable on racers, some action/adventure

-One handed controls for some games means you can play while you eat/drink/etc

-More immersive experience (if motion is used well)

Cons:

-Poor online implimentation

-Nintendo abandoned their own online service! (Early games used, latter games ignore) So did everyone else.

-WW size limit

-Lack of harddrive or harddrive support

-graphics/power were fine for Nintendo games but resulted in missing many great 3rd party titles

-Should have had classic controler included in box (wiimote/nunchuck not suitable too all games)

-Should have had WM+ at launch (ideally)

-failed to live up to it's potential in many respects.

-split the industry into 'casual' and 'core'

-underserved 'core' gamers and hell, underserved 'casuals' at times too.

-Lack of complete genres (not one single WRPG)

-region lock

-NoA not bringing over great titles

-WiiMusic (great idea, poor execution)

-Nintendo ran out of innovative ideas after 2008, and Wii's been in decline ever since

-No great Jedi online multiplayer game with WM+

-No GTA

-No Bioware (or any other WRPG)

-WiiSpeak

-No quality control.  Not just the shovelware, some completely broken games (Alone in the Dark, Brothers in Arms, etc.) were allowed.  This is bad enough on other systems/PC but at least there patching is possible, not so on Wii.

-Virtually no downloadable content (maps for CoD, etc) - Then again, maybe it's a good thing.
