On these forums many users like to talk about religions and how many atheists say that that there is no God and how many believers say that there is a God, etc., etc., etc.....

But we never usually talk about out of the 3 Major Monotheisitc Religions which one makes the most sense. All 3 are closesly related but have few rather small and rather large differences. So I decided to create a thread about it. Out of 3 Monotheisitc Religions which religion would you most likely convert to and which one do you think makes the most sense?

These religious topics debates are starting to become very annoying/repetitive.

Anyways i personally dont beleive in any religion. But if i had to choose one or be converted in to one i would choose christainity.

I think you are somewhat confused. These faiths are no where near homogenous internally let alone externally. The reality is this from denomination to denomination ideas, philosophies, and customs go from the mundane to utterly outrageous. For example you have Christian denominations that practice group sex, fucking with venomous snakes, and self mutilation. The names are really just jumping off points, and you can go anywhere with them. So how can anyone make a rational judgment. What the topic needs is a fair frame of reference. To be fair just pick a denomination within each religion.

Would it be fair to equivocate Islam with Wahhabi, or Christianity with Mormonism, of Judaism with Orthodox. I am just saying unless you narrow the parameters these names mean next to nothing. They do not even always share the same core beliefs. The reality is that these names mean nothing.

ha. i didnt really think of that. I guess we should just go with the majority of each religion? Sunni Islam, Catholic Christian, and Judaism(not sure what major sect is)

Hey Christians are you all "officially" allowed to eat pork?? I did not want to create a new thread so i decided to bump this one.

I'm reading a story called Celestial Railroad right now and apparently it says in it that people show go into the cavern where the ham is cut they go to hell. Im assuming its because of the ham. And i decided to google it and apparently people have mixed views. What do you all think?

Yes Christians are allowed to eat pork. It is only during a few days a year where Christians arn't meant to eat meat (eg. Good Friday). 

 Anyway to the topic as a whole -- Islam, Christianity and Judaism might aswell be referred to as different sects of one religion since they all refer to the same God, all of them acknowledge jesus (though ill grant that some Judaism sects think he was a nomral man and not a prophet). In the end tratitions and methods of worship just developed differently depending on the groups physical location and needs.
