The front page says "Other", not "Europe". There's Asia outside of Japan, Austraila, South America, and Afirca. All of those could easily add the extra 300k, even if it is an estimate.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

rememeber that the category on the front page says others.. and not europe

The front page seems correct since it is "other" and not just Europe.

The real news is that the PS3 sold 650,000 the first 2 days and only 150,000 since.  They must be selling less per week than the Wii and 360 now.

AFAIK the 619K figure was for "others" and not just Europe. 360 sales across Europe are very slow.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

At the current rate the PS3 will stabilize between 12k-15k a week in Europe.  The 360 is selling 11k a week in just the UK.

Well actually no.

This article just come out on the 17th.... Actually I think it's the first time since launch that Sony mentioned actual sales numbers for Europe...

Yeah, but I've seen talk of this in at least a couple threads now...whatever.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Right.  12k a week in all of Europe.  I'm sure that's an accurate estimate.  PS3 is still selling over 15k a week in Japan, and judging by PS2 and PS1 numbers Japan buys almost half the amount of Europe and half the amount of the US alone.  But what do I know?
