Can we get a real table going. Kinect has lots of shitty games that dont' sell either with few notable exceptions. Other than the bundle of Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports and Dance central there haven't been any Kinect titles selling well either.

Again, Wiimotion Plus just adds better tracking to what is already a motion control. Also, its not like the Motion Plus sold amazing on its own. Most people own Motion Plus devices because it was free with games and the console. There was no uproar about it or any big demand for more software.

where the hell have u been, people complain about lack of support for that all the time, but hey maybe its just a few of us. you keep missing the point is that there are alot of motion pluses out there, far more than there are Kinects or Moves so why are those two getting that much more support. it does not matte how the products got in customers hands but that it did and please, WiiSports resort was selling like hot cakes long before it was packaged, fact. Is there any uproar for more Kinect games?? I havent heard any. And its not like Kinect sold amazing on its own, especially considering it wasnt sold on its own, like ever.

thanks?? I just wanna go on record as saying i actually like the Kinect, even though i dont think any of the "core" games will be worth a damn without something extra

1. Whatever the goal was, it worked better than Sony's. Anyhow, look at the upcoming Kinect games, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kinect_games Over 40 games that are either designed for Kinect or have Kinect features. Move has less than 20 coming. Most of the for the Kinect actually require the Kinect as well which helps move the hardware.
2. You just clarified my point, we were clearly on the same page. I don't know how much software Move is selling, but its obviously not selling a significant amount. Leave it to that. Advertising a lone doesn't give you record breaking sales. People were genuinely intrigued by Kinect and it blew away expectations.
3. Refer to the link so you can see Kinect has more support. I don't consider games that have added support for Move better support either. That's not the kind of support that sells hardware. I assure you no amount of advertising could make Move as successful as Kinect. Move is too similar to something else that's cheaper and has better motion games. |
@Bolded
I guess you don't know much about Move, but can you please try to be a bit more factually correct? The PS3 has 84 Move enabled games already out http://www.movemodo.com/games and 53 coming soon http://www.movemodo.com/games/soon

The eytoy was irrelevant, a flop, and wasn't 3D. It was a glorified webcam and as such, I did not feel the need to list it.

Alright, they put it in more games that work with joysticks than I was aware. Like most people, I wasn't aware because nobody cares about that kind of support.
Unless it gets real support with games built for it, its gonna keep fading into obscurity.

I'm sure his point was a camera has been used for gaming before. But its not even in the same ball park when it comes to capabilities.
But for the record, Eyetoy sold quite well. Developers clearly couldn't do much with it though so it just went away.

I agree with you. It's not doing well enough and unless they make Move only games it's going nowhere. However, you tend to exaggerate. Sure, unlike Kinect, Move has failed to attract much casual market, but there are a lot of people who buy Move games (I have 15). The numbers don't see so great because they are spread through all the available games and there are many psn titles the sales of which we don't know. When I bought a Move, I only bought a psn title (tumble) for the first two months.
