I make a point of never reserving games, mostly because game demand rarely outweighs supply.........yes I said it, consoles might be hard to come by, but when I can buy Smash Brothers everywhere from Toys R Us to EB to Shoppers Drug Mart even, I won't have a hard time finding it.

Ok most games you wont have a hard time getting a hold of on the day it comes out, but some games stores only get what they reserve, GH3, Rock Band, Halo Limited and Halo Legendary.... Since i assume you dont get updates as to which games are in short supply and which aren't, why would not just reserve it? Why would you willing drive around from store to store just find it when you easily could have secured yourself a copy with a $5 deposit that is taken off the balance of the game when you pick it up? You dont pay anymore by reserving it..... i just dont get what point you are proving

It's not so much that I'm trying to prove a point. Not sure what the deal is like for the rest of you guys, but one of my friends constantly reserves games at various places, EB, Toys R Us, etc. I'd say at least 50% of the time(no exaggeration) there are problems with the reservation, such as they didn't get in as many games as they took reservations, or they get the game in a couple days later then everyone else. It just always turns into a hassle for him, so I generally just avoid the problem entirely. In my case, I don't really even drive around looking for the game, I usually just go to any major store, Walmart, Futureshop, whatever and 9 times out of 10 I find it at the first place I look. The only time I would consider preordering a game nowadays is if preordering gets you a special deal or some extra pack ins.

OF COURSE I HAVE IT RESERVED--I MUST HAVE MY SMASH!

Also: what the hell are you on thinking Nintendo doesn't know how big Brawl is going to be?

nope, i find it very hard to believe that it'll be sold out if i just go in on day one to buy it.. i will preorder if it gives me a better deal though (which was the case with both mp3 and galaxy)

I did reserve my copy about a week or so before SMG was released. The folks at GameStop commented that they'd already gotten more SSB:B reserves than SMG reserves at that point.

yeah thats what that other guy was saying at toysRus. If galaxy got GoTY and got this. Who knows what brawl will get and still a month to go.

i preordered it a week before Metroid came out along with SMG and Metroid

No point, i'll get it first day no problem.

Nah, I live in Europe and there's still no European release date.. :(

I haven't yet :(

I had a dream last night. I had Brawl already and was all excited, then I posted some pics of it on this site and wanted to play some online, but I was the only person that had it. Good dream :)

I'll wait, maybe a great deal like the Toysrus Super Mario Galaxy deal will pop up.
