Actually I see the franchise effects getting to fans, the number of Japanese fans have started to decline already. Just a matter of time, before it starts going into a total decline. Infact Final Fantasy XIII is way behind Final Fantasy X. I think the trend will only continue from now on if the issue of quality presists.  (while quality decline in this sense is objective, it can be an issue, when the general consumer views the quality to be down)

I understand the hate that is on the internet but I think a lot of people mistake that hate as the overall opinion of the public. I'm not going to cover up the fact that a lot of people hated XII, and XIII but people never mention the fact that there are people out there like myself who do like it. There are many fans of FF in my area and none of them even share the opinion that XII/XIII is ass. They're all different. Fans need to start accepting that fact or they need to move on to another franchise.

zelda, considering ps3 exclusives already released this year, then the sony fans have already raged, so they are low on energy. but ninty fans have been storing for more then a year.

 Just FFXIII because it was bad. Well, 12 wasn't that enjoyable to me either, but still it did everything better than XIII. See I'm sure you can find people who can hate any FF on any given day, but XIII is where the "fans" where most vocal, because no matter how you try to spin it as hating for the sake of hating, it is genuine hatred and disappointment for the game. You must have not spent much time on the internet then. There has been huge backlash on the net for each FF game that's released. X-2 was the worst, then XI sucked since it was a MMO, and then XII sucked as it was ........

 

It just goes on and on and on. I only wish I would have been able to be on forums and such whenever IX and X released. I imagine that response would have been hilarious.

EDIT: Ah, it seemed Acevil responded with the correct answer. I liked XII and it was met with far more hate.

i do, hence why i'll vote for zelda fans.  had the OP called out any other nintendo franchise i'd have gone with uncharted fans but zelda fans are the most fanatical of all the fanatics in the gaming universe.
