It's funny how Sony fans act as if they own every third party franchise. Come on, Capcom made a business decision, deal with it.

It's even funnier to see the fact that 50% of your posts are simply bitching about Sony fans in one way or another.

@Silver-Tiger: Yep! And I'm not even a fan of MH. Though I ought to get into it.

If sony fans wouldn't behave as prima donnas...

lulz - would you care for me to dredge up the 200-300 threads nintnedo fans have created in the last 3 years bitching about wii third party support?  no?  didn't think so...

Are you really going to compare not having one third party game with having none?

:D I don't think that's a really fair statement :) The Wii had a drought in quality 3rd party content, though some very high-quality titles shined through. The same can't be said on a console like the PSP or the Vita, which has a track record of being embraced by japanese 3rd party publishers, despite it (the PSP) being a much smaller success than the DS even in Japan. 1 thrid party exclusive exclusive less is no big deal. 1 exclusive less on the Wii is disastrous, you can't compare. Then again this is MH, the PSP smash success, so I can understand the hit it is to the platform and to the fans. Same goes for DQX.

It reminds me of the days Nintendo lost all its huge 3rd party partners and their franchises to Sony, a tough time I found. Castlevania, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, MegaMan, they were all going exclusive to Sony's Playstation. I found it was a tough time to be a Ninty fan. Then again, this is one or two major IPs, not all of them lol.

*hugs*

..but you can't deny how very very very important monster hunter was to the sustainability of the psp.  psp died everyone but japan and it only survied in japan on the back of MH.  losing the franchise is pretty massive for the vita.

Again, Monster Hunter 3G, Monster Hunter 4 and maybe in the future Monster Hunter 4G will be exclusive for Nintendo platforms, as the Portables (probably re-named in the near future) and Freedom sub-series are exclusive to Sony platforms.

Nintendo didn't paid for anything as Sony neither do. Capcom is happy with Freedom and Portable amazing sales thanks to PSP, but not pleased with the numbered ones (as Tri), so as a smart move, they choose another handheld instead of a console.

MH4 for 3DS won't hurt or kill Vita in any way, becuase people expecting another MHPortable or MHFreedom will look in the future Vita. The install base is currently on PSP and will be on Vita. People expecting another numbered title will look for Nintendo platforms, in this case, 3DS.

MHTri being on Wii didn't hurt PSP sales, and MH4 being on 3DS won't hurt Vita.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Both of you please stop the pointless bickering or else warnings/bans for all.

Well nothing's confirmed so hope for the best.

Oh god.
I didn't really care if it became multiplat, but since Sony fans are pretty annoying right now:
Screw that, MH4 is exclusive to 3DS and MAY not come to Vita!!! tehehehehehehehehehehehe

Sony Boss: No Current Plans For New PlayStation Monster Hunter

30 min. ago / Anoop Gantayat
Capcom surprised everyone with the announcement of Monster Hunter 4 for 3DS on Tuesday.

A few days prior to the start of the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom announced Monster Hunter 4 as a 3DS title. A big coup for Nintendo, or is this going to be another example of Capcom's multiplatform strategy?

Based off comments from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Hiroshi Kawano, it looks like Monster Hunter 4 really is a 3DS exclusive. During an interview following Sony's pre Tokyo Game Show press conference, Reuters Japan asked Kawano if a new Monster Hunter will be released for Sony systems. "At present, there is no talk of a new Monster Hunter coming to PlayStation," replied Kawano.

The Monster Hunter series saw its greatest success on PlayStation Portable, with each installment selling upwards of four million copies. Earlier this year, Sony used Monster Hunter Portable 3G to show off PlayStation Vita's backwards compatibility with PSP titles.

However, Sony stock still rises :-`P
