94 is gonna be really tough for Gears 3 to match, it might even fall below Gears 2 in terms of ratings.
No mixed or negative reviews yet at least, everything is positive.
It's just that simple.
it doesn't matter if it falls below or above gears 2. Gears 3 is a lot better than Gears 2, gears 2 was a disappointment in the long run MP wise.

Just watched that review now - that ending was awesome. I can not wait for this game - Monday night can't come soon enough.

I think we are at a level of end progression as far as this gen tech goes. Reviewers are certainly not saying PS3 exclusives are on another level. Personally I couldnt care. I got to see the game yesterday and its pure scale and detail is THE best on console if not it sits right beside anything any other game throws at it.
Gears has always released at the top. And from what I saw yesterday it has no worries about sitting on the shelf beside KZ3, UC3, Rage and Forza 4. The only one above this league is Battlefield 3.
But I'm sure some will find something negligably different about 1 of the above.

Gears Of War is a fantastic franchise. It knows what it is and sticks with it. One of the great things I like about Microsofts First Party titles is they refine rather than radically change. You know your getting what you wanted and thats a big plus for me. Gears sells for a reason. It is the best action sequence game out there, and one that thrills in the cover firefight system.
A reason why I choose 360 to game on, and Tuesday for my own copy cant come soon enough.

Battlefield 3 on consoles doesn't really look as good as even Rage. You are probably talking about the PC version which has better lighting and destruction.

Yes I refer to the PC version. But we have barely seen anything of the set pieces on console versions of BF3 to say how it holds up. I want to see the tank footage or the nighttime Gulotine trailer stuff on 360/PS3 before I make judgement on the console versions.
Admitadely there are fewer studios on 360 pushing its limits compared to first party studios on PS3. Only really Turn 10 and Epic have really attempted to squeeze the system. Even then the top pile is exceptionally close now and Gears 3 stuns when seen/played.
