Looks like 3DS and PS3's WW week numbers are going to be pretty close. Like less than 5K close this week unless PS3 goes down helluva in EMEAA.

Considering Resistance 3 wasnt even in pre order charts it think this is somewhat spot on....

altho pre order charts aren't really reliable(look @ dead island) who knows come NPD we might see resistance 3 higher or lower.

R3 first week sales will be around 260K units

Looks like Dead island stole lots of sales from R3 80k less than R2 thats gotta hurt, I'am also really happy with Disgaea 4 sales more than double what disgaea 3 did.

wow that is LOW! ..a little bit too low

So I guess PS3 will do about 195K, 360 : 120K and Wii : 102,500 worldwide.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

Interesting to note that a "core" Kinect motion game on 360 didn't sell well at all. It didn't much better than many Wii games of a similar type.

I guess it wasn't the Wii audience to blame, but rather bad quality product.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
