Forums - Gaming Discussion - Where the hell is North America's Everybody's Nintendo Channel?

It was released months ago in Japan, and was expected to have a quick translation process and be released in America. No such luck. Does anyone have any idea when we're supposed to be getting it?

What is this channel and what does it do?

It is a Wii Channel that lets you DOWNLOAD DS DEMOS, watch trailers for games, and much much much much much much much much much much more...

They probably thought it sounds too communist for the American audience, and are feverishly trying to think of a suitable macho and capitalist name for localization.

It takes a lot of infrastructure to do that. Servers and such need to be set up. Nintendo hasn't been in the 'online' business for that long. Unlike MS and Sony they have had to completely build a online model in the last 2 years.

^^^^Yeahhhhh, anyways...

It's with DQ Swords, No More Heroes, Endless Ocean, Phoenix Wright 4, Bleach 2, and all the other games that come out in Japan many months (in a couple cases over a year) ahead of the US and is still in, ummm, I guess translation.

my heart bleeds for you albionus - try living in the UK, we still have a waiting list for people wanting electricity

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

I could care less when I am still waiting for No More Heroes and Bleach 2 gawalls :P. Yes I know I'm relatively blessed despite having to wait longer than the Japanese for video games.

All I want is Zak and Wiki and well yeah now you mention it No More Heroes - 2008 for me is all about supporting the third parties efforts if they'd only release the games over here and give me a chance to prove it.
