My local theater is playing Batman Begins at 630, The Dark knight at 9pm, and then the midnight showing of Rises. Pretty cool huh?

Mine too. I will watch the tripple feature on tuesday.

If TDKR had 3D then it would have crushed the Avengers OW but now I'm not so sure. I feel a little bad for Spidey though, looks like it's just barely gonna make 250$ million domestic.

It has IMAX which most people like better then 3D anyway (not everyone can see 3D, gives some people headaches).

IMAX is not nearly as widely available as 3D screens...unfortunately :/

Thats so true almost all theaters can be converted into 3D theaters.  They even have discount theaters that show movies in 3D now.

Selfish, I know, but I hope the incident doesn't affect the gross too much.

Edit: Like, I know it's cold, but this thread is about Box Office numbers, isn't it?

Anyway, I think this will have a devastating impact in the long run.

I don't think Batman will reach Avengers numbers.
I think the Avengers is a solid A movie.
I give batman a solid B-. Bane was not Joker. not impressed at all. the plot twist at the end was just no big deal.
Action scenes were about par with other movies - nothing special.

At times it was boring.

still having a hard time understanding Batman when he speaks, but he is so much better than Bane.  What the heck is Bane saying?  I got maybe 85% but my 13 year old got maybe half of it, and he kept bugging me about it.

Really enjoyed Cat Woman. Anne and Levitt were really good.

No way this is the final Chris Nolan's Batman. There will be more. he can't stop after this mediocre movie. All hype and didn't deliver!
B- thanks to Levitt and Cat Woman

As expected, BOM are taking their sweet time with the official friday estimates.

Wasn't it somewhat limited though like most midnight openings.

It's actually the highest among super hero adaptations.. Avengers was the previous highest with 18.7 mil, so that's completely shattered! Especially since it's in 2D
