$19 Million Monday for Avengers...very nice.

How does this compare to other movies?

http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/days/f-th.htm?page=Mon&p=.htm

It's the 8th best Monday ever.

It's a great figure as the rest of the movies were released in summer when schools had holidays so Monday drops would be softer....while schools still in for most in America right now.

It's the 3rd best non-holiday Monday ever..

TDK and Avatar

The next truly big movie is The Amazing Spider-Man. Dark Shadows and Men in Black III will neither be a big player at the boxoffice.

EDIT : And Madagascar 3. It'll do gangbusters overseas. It's like Ice Age but a bit less popular.

I want more Sam Raimi! Also are you forgetting Battleship Mordred? Has been pretty strong over seas. Which is a big surprise to me. Anyone see it yet? Any good?

Also I am happy you enjoyed The Avengers!

Lol,that won't even make $100M dom.

Battleship will gross $450 million in the USA!

I kinda want to see Battlship - my son is into it.
however, we'll go see the Avengers in IMAX before battleship.
Battlship and the Avengers will fight for #1 for the weekend - 3rd weekend for the Avengers.

The Avengers now stands at $744,114,897M WW. Flies past TDK's overseas gross already.
