The Avengers always struck me as one of those films that was destined to flop... I cant believe its about to get the highest opening weekend of all time!
Oh, and why is everyone talking about TDKR and Avengers? The Hobbit will be the highest grossing film of 2012!

Seeing how it did over the weekend and the last couple of days I give The Hunger Games now a 95% change of making over $400 million dollars domestically. It needs to make less then $26 million to do it and I think it will stay in theaters for at least six more weeks. Its more likely to stay in theaters over eight more weeks. Seeing the first set photos for Django Unchained I have high hopes for Tarantino's next movie can't wait for the first trailer.

Amazing for Hunger Games. Most people outside the US didn't know what all the fuss was about when HG originally released, and here in Brazil the trilogy is top-spot on book charts for over a month now. I assume the same is mostly true for other countries, so Catching Fire will probably surpass $1B with ease.
The Avengers movie deserves every penny they get. It´s an amazing movie I´am gonna watch it again.
