The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Box office $692,693,000

How wil it not hit 1bil?

Because it has already opened in all of its major markets and will drop like a rock in the next few weeks.

Hmm yes but if a mess like TDKR or Alice in Wounderland can hit 1 bil it will be sad if the Hobbit 1 doesn't :/

A mess like TDKR? o.O It's a far better received movie, so it's no surprise if TDKR can do it while The Hobbit can't.

Meh it was enjoyable but just like TDK was long for the sake of being long there wasn't the strong story to warrant the length. If the film was half hour shorted it would have been amazing. The Hobbit has a fantastic story and some of the reviews are rediculous. Instead of focusing on the actual film they complain about 48fps. When in reality all movies will film like this in the future. Star Wars, Avatar 2 and Avengers 2 are all going 48fps. People can't write a bad review because they don't like advancing movie filming.

The Hobbit actually has had great legs so.........

The Hobbit is past $700 million now another $300 million is easily doable.

Hobbit is now past $710 million. Django Unchained topped the domestic box office yesterday finishing ahead of the Hobbit and Les Mis.

Hobbit is now past $759 m. It will definitely pass $1b ww.

Hobbit is at $764.9 million world wide now a billion is very doable.

I'm hoping Texas Chainsaw 3D has a big drop off on Saturday and Sunday and that Django Unchained ends up winning the weekend.

I'm holding on to that hope as well. It definitely deserves so. At least 1 weekend @ #1.

Texas Chainsaw 3D won the weekend at least Django Unchained made it passed the $100 million dollar mark domestically. I'm hoping it will at least make $160 million domestically and at least $100 million overseas.  Also The Hobbit only needs $176 million more to make it past the billion mark.

Django Unchained continues to show great legs I'm upping my previous prediction and now say that it will do at least $180 million at the domestic box office.
