I am a big movie lover so this summer I tried to watch a different movie everyday. That was not always possible so I tried to get at least to 100 movies before school started. I succeeded. I watched a collection of new and old movies all legally at either the thater, or on DVD borrowed from my friend, the library, or rented from PSN or Red box.

It was an eclectic list of titles if I do say so myself. Here is the list: A "+" means I thought it was good, "O" means I thought it was meh, and "X" means it sucked.

March of the Penguins and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo were awesome not meh!!

DragonBall movie was a complete and utter failure, cheaply made and largely altered from the original idea

X-Men first class was amazing, so was Harry's 2nd Hollows, Narnia 3 was great as well

Pirates 4 was awesome as always, Transformers 3 was like 50% comedy and 50% drama!? still awesome thow

thanks for sharing the list with us, seems like we have similar taste

from new movies, Captain America and Planet of the Apes are both awesome, Thor is very good

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Only things I don't agree with are Gladiator being in the "Meh" catergory. Gladiator is one of my favorite movies of all time. Although some of the special effects don't hold up as well on blu-ray as they looked in theaters. I'm curious what you didn't like about it?

And I also really enjoyed the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was a slow, heavily dialogue driven movie and with subtitles I know it doesn't appeal to everyone. Its not a movie I would jump to re-watch again... but I will definitely watch the David Fincher remake, because he is among my top 5 favorite directors.

I once watched at least 1-2 movies a day for 3 months of summer myself. Wish I had the time to do that all year round.

With my Blockbuster online account I once figured out I had watched at least 1200+ movies in my lifetime (from all the ones I could remember). Probably watched a least another 100 since then. Been watching less movies lately though as and I've been hooked into some TV shows like LOST (never watched an episode until after the show ended), Dexter, Justified, House, Spartacus, The Walking Dead, and Louie for a little more comedy.

Gladiator: Part of me is bitter that it beat Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon for Best Picture and another part of me thinks it is a very overrated film. The art direction is plain bad and the plot is ridiculous. Some of the fight scenes were good and Russel Crowe did a good job (though I wouldn't say Best Actor) but overall the movie just doesn't do it for me.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: Unfortunately I watched this immediately after reading the book which I thought was amazing so everything was fresh in my mind and I was in nitpick mode when I watched it. I just feel the film gets most of the relationship between the characters wrong and too many plot points were glossed over. I too am looking forward to David Fincher's version which will hopefully be much better. He is one of my favorite directors as well.

Oh and by the way Fincher's version will not be considered a remake, it is a new adaption of the book not based on the Swedish version at all.
