Thats amazing!I wonder where it will sit in 5 years

it keeps growing because of the special "free" games and demo's they run all the time. the latest game to go "free to play" was team fortress 2 which as you can tell got a huge boost in players since they made it free. when CS:GO comes out i figure it will be at the top as well for awhile.

TF2 also got a boostin revenue from going F2P, and aside TF2, there's no other F2P game on Steam that is attracting outsiders.

DOTA 2 will be the game changer.

anyone else keep misreading the title as Silent Hill sells 4 million? no?

Good for steam!

And yeah, TF2 really helped with that boost.

Good for them! I absolutely love their service, been using it for all my game purchases this summer and their package deals are awesome!

Suprisingly AVA (alliance of valiant arms) has also attracted its fair share of users. There are also quite a few people that continue playing CSS, L4D 1 and 2. Personally busy with Deus Ex on max settings yay.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
