Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Dolphin 3.0 Wii/Gamecube Emulator (7719 build) is awesome

But most people use dolphin for pirated games.

Even on latest dolphin the framerate and stability of games is not good and hurts the gaming experience significantly.

Sorry but say that to the people who have experienced Xenoblade in 1080p with all nice features at maximum settings.
Not even the new Monolith J-RPG for the WiiU will look that great and no WiiU game ever will.

Thanks to Emulators you got beautiful looking Wii Games at least playable on your PC.
And i for myself never had any problems running them.

Has anyone tried to play Mario Kart Wii in 3-4 multiplayer split screen?
I'm asking just beacuse I'm wondering if it's tecnically possible to get a better framerate on Dolphin than on the Wii console.
Actually my PC is not powerfull enough to get a proper frame rate from any emulated game, so I can't try it myself :P

Also, I don´t think Dolphin is used with pirated games this much. Everyone with a Wii, a SD-Card and an external harddrive can easily rip their GCN and Wii games, no need to spend hours upon hours to slowly download the games (especially games like Xenoblade, where the ISO has a size of 8GB. Sorry to disappoint you there^^

Totally possible to run splitscreen with 60fps

Yeah, I played it above 1080p with the hd retexture pack, the game never lagged for me. Mostly people who dont optimize the settings for their pc or have a weak pc say dolphin has stability issues.

Thanks. That's great. (Too bad I haven't got a better CPU :P)

Yeah, it is just GORGEOUS compared to played on the Wii. On a 40" TV via HDMI input, 1080p, 16x AA, Vsync...far better experience^^

Haha
you guys are trying to make me believe people actually use dolphin with original games?
Aprils fool in december?

^

I've spent enough money on games to emulate two generation old games that aren't being produced anymore.

My mouth is seriously watering.

Not too long ago I sold almost everything I own, and I'm living as a nomad now, but rest assured, when I settle in my next place, there will be a monster PC in the living room running the show, and I'll be emulating the shit out of that dolphin!

Can't wait for beautiful Metroid Prime sounds all around me. OH JEEZ, it's too much.
