Forums - Gaming Discussion - Maybe there's hope yet for the PS3

Also the fact that there are only 2 DS games should tell you something.  Last week DS software sales were 52% of total software sales, and that was low compared to most weeks.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

No need to talk about hope or hopeless situation. No drama here. PS3 will gain momentum. I think new NPD data will give us some hint about present situation. I think gap between PS3 and X would be much smaller than last month. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony sold more units.

Edit:

On the other hand you've been talking only about situation in Japan... khem... hope most welcome

I hope you realise that the npd numbers cover north america.  so the 800k in Europe won't really impact much.  Tho there were a couple of high profile ps3 titles in march, so it should have done better than feb

Sony just needs some games. Not even necessarily big games. Just some games. This game a month crap isn't getting them anywhere. People are hoping that it's all over for Sony, but they've got the developer support even if it's a few months off since everybody's still stuck on PS2.

Take a look at the Koei games released on any non-Sony platform during the past decade, and 250k looks pretty good. This is one company that couldn't jump off the Sony ship even if they wanted to.

just want to say that almost by definition these are the most wanted from hardcore gamers.  these people will get a PS3 sooner or later... in japan anyway.

the Wii is an epidemic.
